As a parent helping my daughter find an apartment, I couldn't be more pleased with Sam, the property manager at 2505 Virginia Street. Sam is a genuine and kind person. He patiently addressed all our questions before we signed the lease, ensuring we felt comfortable and confident in our decision.

Since moving in, Sam has been very responsive to any maintenance requests, making sure that the apartment remains in great condition. The apartment itself is wonderful and in high demand. What truly makes this apartment special is Sam’s dedication to tenant satisfaction. He is flexible, accommodating, and always available to help, even on weekends. I remember one time I needed assistance on a Saturday. Sam promptly answered my call and provided a solution. We can’t thank Sam enough for his commitment to make the renting experience smooth and enjoyable. He genuinely cares about his tenants, which provides peace of mind to parents like me. We spent three years in our home we rented in Oakland, and Sam took over as our property manager halfway through. It was helpful having a streamlined system as tenants to ask for repairs, take care of our payments, and make requests. The property manager is a kind and sincere person who genuinely cares for your well-being. He does everything possible to accommodate your schedule for any minor repairs, safety inspections, etc. The building is also well cared for so we haven’t really had any real repairs or other issues.The tenants are all quiet and nice; it’s been a pleasure living there. Everything hads been professional with prompt customer service from administration of moving in to administration of moving out.

My experience with Hayes Property Management was completely unprofessional to say the least. After touring an apartment, talking to Sam Hayes, and submitting an application, my roommate and I were waiting for a response. After communicating with Sam Hayes a few days later, he told us that we got the apartment and that he would be sending the lease shortly. After over a week of no communication (despite my several calls each day), I managed to reach him on his personal phone. He then proceeded to tell me that he decided to give the apartment to someone else, after already informing me that I got the apartment and to stop looking for other places. His reason for not communicating with us about this was that he was extremely 'busy' and that he was extremely sorry for this. However, a two minute phone call a week earlier informing us that we had not received the apartment would have been completely fine. All in all, Sam Hayes is a highly unprofessional property manager and should not be trusted when apartment hunting. I honestly expected better.
