Used enjoy living here until completely gave up on maintaining the jacuzzi, pool, and gym intact. With rent being pushed up twice, you expect to get the most, full experience of amenities you paying for ! However not here . Jacuzzi is always down, never works, after a long days of work I can’t even wish to get in. Unknown figures in the gym who somehow get in and leave it a mess, not to mention the tennis court lights are a fifty fifty chance at turning on. Definitely not worth the extra rent increase and not getting my bang for buck.

This is a really nice place because of the great property manager - Megan. She is really responsive when there are problems and always communicates with tenants well. She makes sure the property is safe and well taken care of. I rented a 1 bedroom apartment for my son and his girlfriend while they studied at San Diego State, and could not have asked for a better place for them! It's quiet, calm and the other tenants are friendly. They just moved out recently, but are really missing their apartment at Heatherwood.

The best community I have lived so far in San Diego!!!! The Management is best and helpful management I have ever dealt with, Megan the property manager is very respectful, honest, kind with good sense of hummer. She makes sure you are taken care of when you need help. She keeps the community clean. Thank you so much Megan for being the best property manager ever!!!! I recommend a lot of my friends and family and I recommend who ever looking for a place to try this community you won't regret it. it is close to shopping centers, park, freeway and more....

This community has became my home. It is very peaceful, maybe every once and a while you will hear people have gatherings on the weekend, but nothing too crazy. Everyone in this community are very polite and friendly. Yes this community is pet friendly however there is little to none loud barking going on and everyone has done a better job at picking up after them. The landlord is amazing, she treats you like family and it is always great to see her around the apartments. Having grocery stores like Costco, Walmart, Von's, and Ralph's are very convenient.

I've been living here for more than over a year, and even though it has a great location, there are many cons on this place. First and most annoying of all its the parking situation. There is no assigned parking, so if you are lucky you'll find parking, if you come home late at night do not even bother coming into the parking lot, you'll have to find parking on the streets near by (my car was broken into two times, notified management, they could care less). The so called "clubhouse" is useless, you cannot play loud music, drink, no certain amount of people and so on, plus the price just skyrocketed it went from 100 to 300 + deposit. The jacuzzi is always broken and when its fixed, water is not even that hot; one light in the pool is been out for more than over year, and if you want to play tennis be ready to play 45 minutes only because once the lights go off, you'll have to wait another 45 minutes for the lights to turn on again. Management recently changed, hopefully they get it together, specially the parking situation. There is nothing more frustrating than coming home from a long day at work than having to park somewhere far away when there are residents occupying more than one space for the old car hidden under a blue tarp

They have shut down the gym and jacuzzi since the pandemic started. However they claim expenses are going up, and thus have raised our rent twice this year. Every 6 months or so like clockwork rent goes up. Is inflation going up? Nope. Are expenses going up? Not really. If anything, expenses are going down because they have less stuff to take care of. Because they have shut the facilities down. The only thing changing is their greed seeing how they take advantage of their tenants. I can't say enough how bad a taste this has left in my mouth. It is extremely shameless and just have a bad vibe about management and their unjustified rent increases. Greed during a pandemic I would have never imagined it before this.

It's been over a year since my wife, our two years old ESA pet and I moved to heatherwood Garden apartments and we totally love it here.
When it comes to the Management and crew, they are responsible, respectful and hardworking people.
Rent is affordable, neighbors are friendly kind and caring which makes the environment warm and pleasant.
There were some bad weeds, discriminating against residents with SERVICE pets on the property. Fortunately they moved out of this property.
I can bet that, a few complains I have read here are from those people, their family and long distance friends, who hate to follow the rules / have unrealistic expectations or suffering from Hatred disorder against other Humans and Pets !
The only place for such would be owning and not renting !

A very nice place to live. I lived here from 1992 to 1994. It was a long time ago, but it was just as beautiful back then. My apartment was #7 right by the pool, jacuzzi and tennis court. The management back then was great as well. The only reason we moved was our family was growing and we wanted a house. I have very fond memories of living there.
