Check in terrible, 1 working elevator for over 100 units , old spring beds, tight living quarter. Only nice amenities were toilet with good flush, gas fireplace, and deck to put trash bags as there was no instruction in or outside how to deal with waste. Ski in/off location and ski locker was only 4+ star feature

Everything has been wonderful except the room. My kids and I slept ZERO minutes during our stay due to the wind and poor weather proofing of the door and cold air just busting through. The wind just pounds into the door and window all night and sounds like a hurricane is about to knock the place down. I staye on the 4th floor facing the parking lot in room 412 and my friends on the first floor are not having the same problem. Everything is convenient, the people are kind, the shopping and food are great- but I can’t make my review any better when we didn't sleep a single wink for 3 days because they had no rooms to move us too. I would not book a 4th floor and I would not book facing the parking lot where the wind rolls in from. I was tired from skiing, I just wanted to sleep and this was miserable. I tried ear plugs and covering my head with pillows but with two kids, nobody slept. Find somewhere else to stay if the only rooms available are the windy rooms. Everything else was amazing. Super convenient lockers, ski in and ski out, dining and shopping just steps out the door. Overall amazing experience, just wish they would figure out the wind noise situation on the 4th floor.

Room 409 is spacious but is in major need of updating. Every surface, fixture, piece of furniture, linen and some appliances ( washer/dryer and dishwasher) are all very worn. Main bath shower water pressure was terrible. Sliding glass door to the deck didn't close properly and the wind noise made it incredibly loud in the condo. Did not want to walk barefoot on the soiled carpet. Overall decor was a confusing mismatch of themes and very dated. Lower level lobby had strong bad odor. Convenient to shops and restaurants...the reason for the 2 stars.

Great place to go skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and tubing but minus 1 star for nothing else to do, shops were selling winter gear mostly and minus another star for one of the elevators being out of order during the holidays!

We stayed at Snowshoe Central Village lodgings (Rimfire, Expedition Station, Seneca) couple times in the past, Highland House is the worse one. The miniblinds were broken, light was broken. Sofa bed was smelly and the springs wore out. The Space is smaller than our expecting. I hope the description could provide us the exactly sqft so we can make better choice. There was only one bag of coffee (charge to additional bag) disregarding how many days you stayed. Nicely, the maintenance staff showed up at reasonable time to repair temporally for our stay. Forgot to mentioned that we found a beach towel sitting behind the sofa bed!! Forgot to mentioned that we found a beach towel sitting behind the sofa bed!! Although We usually clean up the room before we unload our luggage to ensure we have clean space for our stay.||||The only pro is the unbeatable location of Highland house. Although we have been assigned to first floor studio adjacent to the Skidder and slope, we did enjoy the views and convenience. Overall, Highland definitely needs upgrade to match Snowshoe standard.

So my wife and I stayed here over the weekend as part of our yearly anniversary excursions to celebrate. The condo we stayed in was a very pleasant room, and had what one would need to feel as comfortable as possible. Our room had a small balcony with a great view of the courtyard and sights of the forest. Being this is "leaf peeping season", it certainly was a boost to sights unseen. The only drawback is the cable service is pretty basic, but you have a DVD player available if you would want to bring some DVD's to watch. We definitely will go back the first opportunity we get.

Eight of us stayed in a condo in Highland House over Christmas and new year. When we booked we weren’t given much info on what the condo amenities were, the condo # we were staying in or any photos of inside the condo and had to check in at a different resort?... We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The condo was excellent and had everything we could ever ask for! ||It had three bedrooms, sofa bed, Amazing View, great kitchen for cooking, great location in the village. The Condo building had a Hot Tub also that was wonderful after a days skiing. ||Would highly recommend staying here, and booking directly through snowshoe.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Highland House! We were in the 1 bedroom condo - only the 2 of us so plenty of room. It was nice to have the little kitchen for convenience (and save a little money) although we did eat out a few times - masks/ social distancing- though it was well enforced).|We were in #117 facing the ski trails - probably would have liked to be higher up but there are only 4 floors anyway. Wasn’t noisy - enjoyed people watching too outside our patio!|The “fake fireplace” is perfect for laying your wet snow clothes in front of to get dried off!|Place was clean, bed was comfy! Love the convenience of lobby floor lockers to store our skis and then go out doors and boom, we are right on the ski trails! Nothing is more convenient!|We will be back next winter!!!
