I have had a lot of hardships in the past 6 year and had to call the Insurance agent l to look at our roof and they said it was very, very bad, They looked into information and said it was a class action lawsuit. I had no information on that and still have none our roof is so bad. And need in need of fixing
It is a thirty year Roof you shouldn't need any work done to it.
I need help

Came here to look at the model and discuss about building a home. Kind of confusing where to go because there is a back office as well, but we figured it out. Knock on the main house for help. We didn't schedule an appointment and just walked in to talk about some things.

We were greeted and welcomed. We asked some questions, got some information, just wasn't a lot of excitement about moving forward. Wish we could have had a tour of the model and clearer explanation up front about what was upgraded and what was standard without having to ask.

Overall good experience, I would say it's probably more on four stars.. because it probably would have been different if we scheduled an appointment and had talked with someone more in detail prior. This of course is just an intial experience of visiting.

My wife called prior to ask some questions and they were very helpful and gave estimates on their shell programs and a potential timeline for the build. Very helpful information given quickly.

We are currently still having our home built by HiLine, so I will update this as we move along.
First of all, our initial contact with Rick in the office was excellent. He is very kind and helpful.
All of our pre-construction managers assigned were very responsive and helpful. We had no issues at this point.
We poured our foundation in November 2017, that's when our build time guarantee started. HiLine did send out a notice just before we poured informing us that they can't guarantee the build time anymore due to circumstances beyond their control. Unfortunately at this point, we were stuck regardless...
We anticipated our build being done middle of March 2018. We are now more realistically looking at middle of May 2018. This is extremely problematic as we sold our house in anticipation of closing on the new one. While we were able to rent back our home until the end of April, we have now exceeded even that and will be forced to store our stuff and move our family into a hotel. This is extremely stressful and expensive.
Our project manager has been responsive the entire time. We can't complain one bit about communication. We have passed all inspections. The house really does seem to be of very good quality. We have no complaints there. Our complaint is with the constant delays. Almost every contractor has been delayed and/or taken longer. This, of course, costs us quite a bit of money. HiLine will only schedule inspections after each contractor finishes and will not order or schedule the next step until the prior is completed. This also causes delay. Now here we are, in a tight situation, with no one to hold responsible (all we are told is "we are doing our best"), and no build guarantee to help offset cost (one of the main reasons we picked HiLine). It is something to be aware of since this could very well financially ruin some people...two months of extra construction loan payments....two months of extra rent/hotel cost....extra storage cost.

UPDATE: We finally got to move into our home at the end of May. We are happy with the home HiLine built for us. I give them much credit for sending us the promised check for not moving in on time promptly. It is my understanding that they have adjusted their timeline now to more accurately reflect building times. I think that's a good move and should help others with coordinating extra expenses. I would still highly encourage you to have a decent safety cushion, just in case.

After 11 years I also am have problems with roof. Have a roofer coming out to evacuate the ptoblem. I believe it won't be good , we watched them build the house. Had question about the way they did some of the biuld. Just kind of brushed us off. One was the roof, no facia boad between gutters and trusses, no drip edge on gable ends of roof. You need to have some kind of basic building skills. I will be paying the price for the lack of skills on there part. Be forewarned it might look nice but what really matters is whats underneath.

I am a current customer with Hiline building a house in Tacoma. They do have great house plans and make it easy to get financing and very easy to sign there contract.. There slogan is " On your lot, On Time, Built Right!" That is far from true with Hiline. They poured foundation May 31st. It is September 6th and there was a framer there for one day and ended up quitting. Its now been 60 days and Hiline still has yet to have anyone show up to complete my build. I paid Hiline so I didn't have to deal with contractor problems. My guarantee build time was 4 months because I did there shell package. Now my family will have no place to go come October. I counted on Hiline to do what they said they would do. They will go over the guarantee build time and there contract only allows you to be compensated 2K. Thats peanuts to what its going to cost in interest and to find a temporary rental. I Will update this review in the next month or so and let you know if there has been any progress.
