We are very happy with the quality of home, ease of build and timeframe for a finished house. The total project cost was also easy to digest. Our Project Manager(Chanty) was outstanding and made this whole process very pleasant to go through.

Sales team Kelly and Elizabeth was great to work with however getting the home built has been a real struggle! Total lack of communication from Project Manager, the on-time build guarantee of 190 days is a total joke. We are now at 310 days and the project is still not completed! I have requested an on-site meeting with the PM for the past 3 weeks and still waiting for him to find the time to meet with me. They really need to remove the “On-Time” quote from their advertisements!!

Do your research before you choose a home builder. Take the time to ask around and get peoples real opinions before signing with a home builder. Choosing the wrong home builder can be the biggest mistake of your life. There are lots of options and lots of companies that really do care about their customers. Some companies only care about themselves and will do anything to benefit themselves. FUI most people do not meet their 120 price lock guarantee as it usually takes more than 120 for their delay in getting you site plans, then permitting and financing typically takes up most of that time. Unless you have cash to get all of the owner requirements complete in the 120 days be prepared to get their price increase after your price lock time runs out. They hit me with a $40k increase and it took them over a month to get the foundation dig out specs to the excavation company. Ask around and before you dive in with these guys, it will be well worth your time. These are better options than Hiline Homes. We are due for our one year warranty walk through and I’d rather fix the issues myself then deal with with Hiline ever again.

Building with Hiline was a nightmare. First off, they make you sign a clause in the contract where you are not able to tell bad things, or give bad reviews about Hiline, or it’s a breach of contract. Therefore you will not see all of the unhappy customers, as they will be afraid to say anything. Trust me, there are social setting where people speak freely, and the majority of them are unhappy.

So I will just give facts and you can come up with your opinion based on the facts. Therefore I’m not talking bad, I’m just giving facts.

They took a year and a half to build our home. They like to use a blanket excuse of “construction industry is slow” when in fact the issue is they signed on as many contracts as they possibly could, way too many projects for the man power they had. They did this to their customers, it’s not the industry.

Every step of the way the work was sub par and had to be constantly corrected. They give constant excuses for this poor work. They like to blame the sub contractors for everything. It’s easy to place blame on THEIR subs, cause they don’t like to take responsibility themselves.

They like to say “add it to the punch list, and we’ll fix it at the end”. They like to push off as many issues as they possibly can so they can and will tell you they’ll fix the punch list items after occupancy. Well, good luck with that as they won’t.

They tell half truths or straight out lie. You think you’ll get better results with managers above the project manager, think again as they are more dishonest and deceiving than PM are.

As long as they can get it to pass inspection, they can care less if the work is sub par, or not level, or square. FYI inspectors are only looking for key things, they don’t and can’t look at everything. Hiline will just tell you “it’s within specs” which they also lie about.

If you want a home that is sub par built, corners cut, and a process you absolutely dislike, build with Hiline. If you want a good home, that someone takes pride building and will listen and correct actual issues, build with anyone but Hiline.

Thank God this is behind us. It was probably the biggest mistake we’ve ever made.

Lack of customer service since I first tired working with this place in 2015.

We've been trying to get this place to call back for almost several years off and on now. Email, calling... No such luck, not even one call back from HiLine. With reading the reviews below... at what cost? Apparently poor/no customer service is clearly apparently one of them.

Ended up buying a home from a realtor instead of doing business with this place years ago.

Currently looking for something different to live in, same poor no call back/no email back customer service. I'm pretty much done with this place, and going with a traditional realtor who at least calls back, and is willing to work with anyone who qualifies.

On the plus side for this place. They seem to offer decent cost housing vs. quality. I've watched them build several over the years. Though, they seem to give preference\priority to certain types/groups of people, from my own personal experience with them.

The webpage is easy to navigate and that have a wide selection of good designs to chose from. The web page designers seem to at least care about the company and attracting people to the business. Also, whoever writes responses seems to maybe care, I'm just done with wasting hours of my time with HiLine, just to get attempt to get call or email back from them, with no luck, over several attempts and over several years.

After years of not calling back and wasting my time HiLine, enjoy the review, based on my actual experience with this HiLine Homes.

Would we ever use HiLine homes of Satsop ever again, HELL NO! In our experience and opinion, it was a TERRIBLE experience and the lack of follow through was appalling! I would rather eat sand and chew then ever use this builder again. I seriously am contemplating putting a sign in my January 2022 “completed” house yard of the reasons in our opinion to rethink using them.
The project “managers” we had I think 2 or 3 in our opinion repeatedly dropped the ball.
They ruined our 15 year dream!

After reaching out to HiLine as asked, we waited until we were calm, e-mail sent to customer service as asked. Was stated in response from HiLine that customer service would respond promptly, it has been over 5 days and still no response from “customer service”. Again HiLine has dropped the ball.
