I am posting this several months late, but better late than never! I closed on a house back in March, and I honestly found Whitney through a random Zillow match. Looking back on it, I really should have been more diligent and thorough in trying to find a realtor, but I don’t think I could have picked a better one than Whitney. She was so attentive, thorough, and walked me through the process of buying a home in a way that made sense to me. She was so available when it came to touring homes that I actually started to feel bad for taking so much of her home after a while—but she wouldn’t let me! Her business partner Cindy also showed me several properties and was also wonderful to work with. I came very close to making an offer on a house that just didn’t feel right when it came down to it, and Whitney didn’t at all try to pressure me into doing the sale anyway like some realtors might. She really listened to my needs and paid close attention to what exactly I was looking for in a house.

Once I found the house that I fell in love with, the process of buying the home was still a nightmare, but she made it far less of one than it could have been. Reading contracts and whatnot can numb the brain after a while, so whenever I felt like I couldn’t absorb any more information, Whitney or Cindy would break it all down for me to a point where I actually knew what the contract was saying. Whitney couldn’t be there for me at closing, but Cindy represented me with class, professionalism, and attentiveness.

The weekend after I closed on my home, I unfortunately suffered from a serious bout of homebuyer’s regret that made me immediately want to sell it. This had nothing whatsoever to do with Whitney or Cindy, it was totally my own emotional turmoil. When I told Whitney I wanted rid of the house, she very calmly and very clearly explained to me what this would look like, what the consequences would be, and approximately how much money I stood to lose while also being patient, mind, and supportive of whatever choice I made. I ended up not selling the house and actually love it now, but that was a really hard time for me that she totally approached in a fair, rational, and reasonable way. She did not have to do that, and I’m grateful that she was willing to talk me though it, even after the home was purchased and her money was made. That shows me that she’s classy, ethical, and concerned with the “bigger picture” and not just dollar signs.

I really could not be happier with Hood Reality’s services. They did an awesome job representing me, and if I do actually end up selling the house in the near future (lol!), I will certainly give Whitney and Cindy a call!
