I have ran you a problem with a request to park a new 3 wheel scooter in the garage with the other scooters. I was told that because the scooter is unlicensed that I can't park there. I am handicapped, unable to walk without assistance, any haven't had a driver's license for 10 years. I find there reason for not honoring my request troubling. I have messaged BEcky Hildebrandt on Horizon's web site, I left a phone message for Ms Hildebrandt and I even messaged her on her personal Facebook messager acct. It's been a couple weeks and I haven't received a reply. Nobody has even acknowledged receiving my contact. I had to talked to the manager to see if they got my messages, she advises "they're discussing it". I am at Waterview 1, Sheboygan they obviously have my address and phone # to contact me. I leased an apt. In Franklin, Wi., from Horizon for 6 years and I am into my 3rd year in Sheboygan. The managers and maintenance people have always been friendly and helpful.

UPDATE: As can be seen, there was a response from the owner. While the compliance manager did contact me regarding my mother's rent issue, the emails originally sent were forwarded to the compliance manager and the regional manager. To date, I still have not received a reply regarding the issues directly related to management of the building where I reside. I have already contacted Horizon and I don't see the need to contact again when the regional manager never replied. I am grateful the issue with my mother was resolved. Thanks.

I will update my review once Corporate responds to my voice mail and/or emails. My mother has been an exemplary resident at Cedar Glen, Wauwatosa, for 12 years, since that building opened in 2012. My husband and I have lived at Walnut Glen, Wauwatosa, for 2 years, since they opened in 2022. Since the previous manager left, things have been chaotic, which can be expected in times of transition, but the way management is handling things is at another level. Unreturned phone calls and emails, ignored concerns. My mother stated she did not want to sign her recertification papers (her apartment is subsidized) until she had a chance to review all the documentation. I think it is the sensible thing to do NOT to sign something you have not reviewed. But the property manager responded that it was fine if she did not want to sign as there are many people waiting to move in. WHAT? When I called him out on it, he tried to back pedal. This is just an example. Now, she was charged the rental amount for the new lease a MONTH earlier. For seniors on a fixed income, this is a big deal. When addressing this with the property manager, he first ignored my mother. A week later, I went to speak to him and he acted as if this was the 1st time this was addressed, then said it was a mistake because of the recertification date but he was not sure if management could do anything about it because, 'it is all government'.

They need to start treating residents with respect. At Walnut Glen where we reside, there are both market rate and subsidized apartment. I live in a market rate apartment. The only reason we live here is to be near my mother and because I am now over 55 so we meet that requirement, but I still work full time and I am an active member in my community. I get the feeling management think they are dealing with senile residents they can ignore or trample on, which would not be living here if that was the case, but would still deserve respect. This is independent living and most residents in both properties mentioned are active, healthy mature adults.

As I said, I am willing to update my review once things are resolved to both my mother's and my satisfaction.

Just took over so far found them to be customer unfriendly with elderly . Not impressed. I see that others feel the same. I think they believe they can bully the seniors. UPDATE AFTER A FEW YEARS NOW 2024...The residents are ignored, no one ever responds to emails or phone messages!! You can not leave a message on their service. The worst customer service ever! Quite frankly I don't think they know what they are doing. A lot of turnover.

I have lived comfortably at one of their locations for five years then moved out and recently came back, but the property manager has been completely unethical with the way she has been denying services as well as breaking the contract, alongside of the maintenance man. I went to report the unprofessional manager with proof of all of the services she denied me as well as proof of the unprofessional behavior from the maintenance man but little to basically nothing happened. I do not trust the manager or maintenance man and have been living a very uncomfortable situation for several months now. The maintenance man and manager have recently entered my apartment without a written, emailed, or verbal notice which show exactly how unethical the management is overall. No respect for the tenant. Extremely unhappy with the services. I do not have the sufficient income to move out of their current property but hope that God takes control of the situation because clearly management does not meet the needs of the tenants but sides with their unethical employees.

The landlords/ management at two apartment complex.

is nothing but mean and rude and inconsiderate to the seniors I never saw anyone treat seniors the way she treats the seniors at that complex Seniors should be able enjoy their life they have left not live in a prison /Or be treated that there in the military.

I stopped on Cottage Grove Road to look at the new apartments they have going up there. Their job Forman was extremely rude and turned me off from the company. Horrible experience and I was only there for 2 minutes. Would not recommend even speaking with them.
