After 14 years in the Upper Valley, I wanted to sell my condo and move back to France. Not knowing anything about real estate or how things are done in the US, I was very nervous about finding someone I could trust. I don’t know what led me to Carol Robert at Housing Solutions but she was a life saver for me. I was very attached to my American home and anxious about leaving it behind. Carol was very supportive and patient. Never pushed me to go faster than I wanted to. She knows the Upper Valley market and has connections to attorneys, accountants, appraisers, inspectors - everyone you need – and did a great job of coordinating everything. Most importantly, she listens. Leaving the Upper Valley was hard, but would have been so much harder without Carol. I highly recommend Carol Robert and Housing Solutions Real Estate.

Matt and Carol were extremely helpful in making our home purchase as smooth as possible. We were receiving daily updates of potential homes, and they were good about weeding through what wasn't a good fit. They are both very friendly even with driving all over the area in out of the way places. Office assistant was always very friendly as well. They have a lot of knowledge about the area's homes and neighborhoods, and their individual areas of expertise makes a solid team. They knew what detailed questions to ask sellers more than I could have known to, and everything was always specific to the particular home. I can't say enough positive things about Housing Solutions! My husband and I relocated to the Upper Valley in late 2013, and my new company referred me to Matt McIntyre at Housing Solutions to help with finding a place to rent short term while we familiarized ourselves with the area prior to buying a house. We had a difficult set of needs to fulfill, since we have pets, and we did not want to sign a year-long lease. Even though Housing Solutions does not manage rentals directly, Matt put me in touch with several other landlords and property managers who fit our needs.

Fast forward a few months. We decided to start seriously looking for houses to buy. I sent Matt a list of must-haves, nice-to-haves, and shoot-for-the-moons. At the end of the email, I told him our ultimate dream was to live on a lake in the mountains, but we didn't expect that to happen with our first house. Matt immediately responded, letting me know he knew of a house that had just been taken off the market for the winter, but was due to go back on in the Spring. It had lake views, lake access, all of our must-haves, and most of our nice-to-haves... all in our budget! He arranged a showing for us, and we both immediately fell in love with the house (although admittedly, my husband was being a bit more cautiously optimistic than I was, as I immediately began referring to it as "our house," haha).

Since this was literally the first house we had ever looked at, and since we had the luxury of time because the house wasn't an active listing, we asked Matt to show us some other houses all around the Upper Valley to get a feel for what else we could get in our budget. Matt knew we weren't going to find anything more fitting of our needs than that first house, yet he patiently met with us several more times to show us another 10 houses or so. Throughout the entire process, he was very candid, honest, and helpful. Since this was our first time buying a house, he patiently explained how everything worked, and answered all of our dumb questions. I also took comfort in knowing that Housing Solutions is a buyer's only agency, and so we wouldn't run into any conflicts of interest like you sometimes can if you go through an agency that may also be representing the seller.

Ultimately, we ended up putting in an offer for the first house. Matt helped us through the offer, counter-offer, inspections, and closing process. He referred us to just about everyone we used throughout the buying process, and everything was smooth and painless under his guidance.

Stand up group. Know the area well and were patient given the high pressure housing market. Quick to respond and close a deal. If you're buying, it only makes sense to employ them.
