UPDATE: We sent iRENT a letter letting them know we would take the owner to small claims court over the deposit. They negotiated with us and eventually gave us an additional $500+ back. I do think we could have gotten more if we actually went to small claims court but at that point it wasn't worth the fight. I just recommend you document everything and make sure you take photos when you move out.

We rented a home through iRENT. We lived there for three years and always paid our rent on time. When we moved out, we hired a service to do a deep clean. We had put down a $2500 deposit, when we moved out Chloe returned less than half. There were a LOT of erroneous charges but the most outrageous one was $400 for a cleaning - she claimed the house was 'filthy.' Because I am a landlord myself and I know what kind of people are out there, I took pictures of how we left the house. I posted them here. I don't recommend renting from this company, they are extremely dishonest.

I reached out to this company roughly 3 weeks ago regarding an issue with one of their rental properties. They have yet to contact me back. Glad I don’t have a rental with them.
