The building is extremely well equipped and the u its are great! But the team here really goes above and beyond to work with you and give you the best experience they can.

I have chatted with the whole team but I specifically wanted to call out Addison who really helped me with moving into my new unit!

Moving and starting over is hard, and it was especially hard for me. While other properties gave me some basic, artificially generated answers, it was the staff at Jackson who really took the time to explain things over the phone, even offering information about the surrounding area, including nearby lodging, and providing advice every step of the way. Out of respect for the leasing agents, I don't want to say one person did better than another, as it was a team effort, with multiple emails and phone calls multiple days in a row with different people in their office until the day I moved in.

As I write this, I'm in my mid-30s. Because of my life story, I don't seek perfection in others. What means the most to me is when people spend time going the extra mile for me, despite all the social bias that exists in the world. When my past came back to haunt me, it affected my online access to various things and my mental wellbeing. While I saw the confusion in the main office, I noticed them still trying, while being sensitive to my mental health, and I admit, there were moments where I felt the need to apologize.

It meant the world to me when my apartment was approved. I lived with basic amenities my whole life because of my income, so I was speechless when I took the very first apartment my leasing agent recommended.

Thank you to everyone at Jackson for making this possible. Your kindness and support have made all the difference during this challenging time in my life.

Lived here for a year and can confirm all the bad reviews it has, from homeless people waking inside the building to getting my car window and ignition broken because their garage door is ALWAYS broken and it takes them months to fix it. When asked for security footage to report to the police they denied it stating “they need to protect their tenants privacy”. The gym is awful, full of smelly strangers that get let in by other people. Took me like 6 months to get my deposit back, had to go over to the leasing office in person several times to ask for it. If you don’t smoke weed this building is not for you, they basically let their tenants smoke inside the apartments and in the balconies (I have footage) and if you complain they won’t do anything so your apartment will smell all the time. Total nightmare living here and expensive AF!

Neighborhood: 3/5
I’ve seen some concerning activity, like people under the influence near the apartment complex several times. However, there’s always someone patrolling the area, which made me feel safe on a few occasions. On the positive side, there are walkable conveniences nearby, like Domino’s, a brewery, and a few food spots.

Amenities: 2/5
The amenities are impressive—rooftop space, fitness center, and work lounge. However, I was disappointed when I wanted to host an event in the rooftop lounge with friends and was told I had to reserve it through an app for $50 per hour (if I remember correctly). As a resident, this seemed unreasonable and left me feeling frustrated.

Parking: 2/5
The parking fee is $285 per month, which I find excessive—especially since I currently pay $200 in South Lake Union. It didn’t feel worth it, and I ended up street parking, which was slightly inconvenient but manageable.

Maintenance: 5/5
Maintenance service was excellent. Anytime I had an issue, it was resolved within a day, which I really appreciated.

Apartment: 5/5
The apartment itself was nice and good for pricing they offered which i got for 12 weeks free.

Last winter, there was a significant leak in my apartment, causing flooding and ceiling damage that needed repair. The leak occurred on January 25, 2024, but the ceiling wasn’t repaired until April 2024 and there was no light the whole time in living room as it was damaged due to water leak and leaving a hole in the ceiling for three months, which was far from ideal.

Some of my belongings were damaged, and while they offered me the option to move to a smaller apartment for the same price, it didn’t feel like a fair solution given the circumstances.

I have lived at the Jackson Apartments for three years. While the units themselves are nice, the security and safety of the building leave much to be desired. The building has recently been targeted by thieves multiple times who seem to know their way around and often have access to common areas.

Management could do a better job at keeping residents informed about incidents that threaten our safety or belongings. Additionally, when thefts occur within the building, there’s little support offered to residents, and management seems unwilling to take responsibility for ensuring a secure environment.

It’s unfortunate that such a nice place is overshadowed by ongoing security issues.

Update, the building management has taken some actions to try to prevent theft and enhance security. I just hope it's not the while it's hot type of deal and becomes permanent solid security.

Horribly managed property. They sent back my $700 fedex package without a word because it was under my partner’s name, with correct address and unit number. No email, no call, no courtesy. Such is the reality of living here. Dog poop everywhere. My closet door is literally installed backwards and swings into my bedroom. Fire sprinkler ring falling out of the ceiling all the time. Everything thrown together. Signed a no smoking addendum just to walk thru hallways of smoke every other day. My storage unit and a bunch of others were just broken into and smashed. They didn’t even replace the locks to the room. I asked for the name placard to be updated in my assigned mail box upon move in, they told me they no longer provide stickers, to go buy some, and they just left the old person’s name. When I complained and gave feedback about my package experience, expressing that notice would have been appreciated, Andrew completely dismissed my thoughts, interrupted me, and repeated “it’s in the lease” as if he somehow is justified in treating his residents with such disrespect and lack of consideration. Who returns packages, without warning, a week before the holidays? Only someone who does not give one care about their residents. What if it was medication? Or anything more important? I’ve now spent two weeks trying to find my package and dealing with finger pointing from FedEx and my residence! While I’m out my $700. Horrible, horrible support from a place they want you to call home. I dont even trust receiving mail here, let alone living here. Look elsewhere.

Speaking with Addison and Keani in the front office are the only positive interactions I have and continue to have at Jackson Seattle.

After spending most of last year in a small and dark apartment, Jackson apartment is really the best. Now I wake up to mount rainier and the olympics with the sound view every morning. And the sunsets are great as well. They had good facilities, well equipped gym, pool and table tennis as well. Now they even opened an amazon fresh right below with many more stores yet to open. This has been a nice find and a great place to stay. Also, there lounge area is superb. It is not just well equipped but on the clear day has an awesome view.

I love this community! The grounds are always well kept and the staff is friendly and attentive. Out of the apartments I have had during my time in Seattle, this one has definitely been my favorite.
