Untrustworthy and impossible to reach. Seth Leigan is not a good person and not a man of his word. If I ever had an issue I had to call at least 9-12 times before getting a response from Seth. He doesn’t care about his renters and is a highly unprofessional. Not to mention he kept my entire deposit and charged a $900 cleaning fee when i paid to have the house professionally cleaned and the Carpets professionally cleaned as well before moving out.

I rented from JDR for three years back when I went to Cal Poly. I lived in many other apartments before that, and JDR was my favorite. John and Patti were always very kind and happy to fix any issues in the apartment. College landlords tend to take advantage of students, but I did not feel that way with JDR. I would recommend them.

I have lived in SLO for close to 10 years, my wife closer to 15, and in all that time, we have seen our fair share of property management companies. It's unfortunate, but a vast majority of them are money hungry entities that will take, take, take, and give very little back to their tenants. Things will break and a bandaid will be slapped on because it cheap, quick and easy. Meanwhile your rent will go up and up.

JDR, however, is the polar opposite of every management company in SLO! From our very first interaction, to renewing our third year in one of their properties, JDR—and specifically John Duval—have been nothing but professional, courteous, communicative and prompt with any repair request. We have never been happier!

So, if you need a place, let JDR and John be your one-stop-shop for having the best living experience in SLO!

Not impressed with JDR property management on handling the cleaning services. When you consider how much tenants pay to rent as John Duval shows no respect by hiring the worse cleaning services, which is Executive Janitorial. They pass on through basically cleaning nothing and give us no special treatment but bad cleaning every visit, the same old method, never changes. The bathrooms are always filthy as John doesn’t want to understand the tenants matter more than a bad cleaning company not doing their job here. The bathrooms always smell of something and they never really take any extra time to clean the outside hallways, the stairs and elevator; even the windows are not getting done as they should. About the only thing they do is take out the trash as that is the only way you know the cleaning company came but rub your fingers in the bathrooms, they are all full of dust. Our building is lacking so much attention that nothing is ever going to change with this cleaning service called Executive janitorial.

I don’t care what cleaning company comes here, just fire these cleaners and put your tenants first John. Put more money and find a better cleaning company then some cheap substandard cleaning outlet that does nothing after so many years of the same cleaning, really it isn't cleaning it is a trash pickup really and that is sad.
