I had an incredibly frustrating experience with an establishment that failed to uphold their promises at every turn. Upon moving in, I was immediately confronted with an unclean apartment and noticeable damage to the walls and tile flooring, which had been poorly patched up. There was no heat in one of the bedrooms and the heating system was inadequate for the 800 square-foot space, only capable of warming about 500 square feet.

I submitted multiple requests to have the heating issues addressed, but they merely replaced the heaters with the same inadequate equipment. For a month in 2023, I battled with them over the low water pressure in both the kitchen and shower, and a leaking showerhead. It wasn't until later that I discovered there was a broken pipe in the laundry room, Instead of tackling the real issue, they only replaced the kitchen faucet and ignored the shower problem entirely. When I pointed out the solution hadn't fixed the pressure problem, they dismissed my concerns, saying the pressure would improve in warmer weather. Eventually, it came to light that the pressure issue was due to a broken pipe, yet they attempted to charge us for the full water bill until we challenged them.

As my lease was nearing its end, I negotiated with upper management, who assured me that I could sign a six-month contract, given that we were in the process of purchasing a home, and they documented this in their records. However, when it came time to renew, they insisted on a nine-month contract instead. In December 2024, we had to break the contract due to moving into our new home. We made arrangements with management and were informed that our deposit would cover cleaning and repairs, while they would retain the rest due to the contract breach. We accepted responsibility for the remaining rent until the apartment was re-rented, as well as the final utility bill.

To ensure the apartment was left in good condition, we hired professional cleaners. Despite this, we received an outrageous bill from the establishment for cleaning tasks they claimed were necessary, as well as repainting and repairs for issues that were present when we first moved in. Throughout this ordeal, we attempted to cooperate with them, but they continuously contradicted their previous statements. The apartment was returned to them in December 2024 in a better state than when we initially moved in, yet they billed us for repairs and for the months it remained unoccupied, even though they hadn't listed it for rent. This experience has been incredibly disheartening and frustrating, highlighting the establishment's lack of integrity and commitment to their tenants.. with further investigation we're not the first ones for bogus charges.

Lived at 1620 voelker ave for 3 years paying 1,200 every month equaling 43,200, that's enough to remodle my apartment and the neighbors. When we moved out they decided to be petty and try and nit pick small petty items like Cobb webs, dirty
tracks on sliding door, mow a lawn that wasnt even there my whole yard was dirt. complaining that they need to clean. That's what your suppose to do before you get a new tenants. And somehow jevons is saying I owe them 1,500. I asked for months to fix my air conditioner it 100 degree weather while my girlfriend was pregnant. I know alot of people in yakima and will be letting them know to not rent with jevons

If I could give a negative star review I would. We lived in a less than 400 square foot apartment which had carpet in the whole place! Bathroom and kitchen included! We moved out September 30th! We received our deposit back on 10/25/2024! Meaning at this point we are done with the company! Well so we thought. We had our apartment professionally cleaned prior to moving out! We then on 11/05/2024 receive a bill in the mail for $417 to clean this less then 400 square foot apartment!! Taking them 6 hours to clean. Where they apparently swept and mopped the whole apartment. Tell me how that works when it’s all carpet! Then being told they cleaned our bathtub! Which is funny because our STAND UP shower was smaller than the size of a motor home shower! Well now we are fighting them because we had this cleaned and taken care of! We are trying to rent from another company and they are telling the other company we owe them money not stating it’s for cleaning which can’t be brought up for a rental reference only if we didn’t pay rent so we can not even get an application in for a place to live until they get there stuff figured out! I am beyond disgusted by this company! And looking at the other reviews on google and BBB this ain’t there first time! Mind you their “cleaning company” isn’t a true cleaning company it’s within there company so they are billing from a company that doesn’t exist! My boyfriend and I are extremely made and hope that no one falls into Jevons trap of a rental company! They are a true slumlord! Not to mention the issues we had while living there! (Too add Jevons reached out to me to credit back the charge for the cleaning bill. And apologized for us having an issue getting into a new rental because of them. ) Andrea is the only good person at Jevons! She deserves a 5 star review! She reached out and helped me with this matter! No one else would even return a phone call! If you have issues don’t call just anyone call Andrea! She will get this taken care of!
