Amazing New Management – 5 Stars!

I cannot say enough good things about the new management here! When I first moved out, I had some serious issues with the previous manager, Cynthia. Not only did she fail to return my security deposit, but she also didn’t inform me about an outstanding balance, which led to my account going to collections and my credit taking a hit. It was a nightmare!

However, everything turned around when the new manager took over. They were professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about resolving my issues. Not only did they work with me to clear up the problem and get the collections situation fixed, but they also managed to recover a portion of my security deposit that I thought was gone for good. My credit has since been restored, and I’m so grateful for their help!

The new manager completely turned my experience around. Their attention to detail, communication, and willingness to make things right were top-notch. If you’re looking for a place where management truly cares about its tenants, this is it. I highly recommend this apartment complex now!

It has been almost a month since I left the apartment and the deposit has not yet been returned to my account. The management team excused that was due to the accounting problem but it should be solved after weeks.....BE CAUTIOUS.

In the past -

The location is inconvenient and the bus is often late or cancelled. The ventilation is so bad and you can smell people smoke every week. The Community Manager Cynthia Ng communication skills was bad and she appeared nice at the beginning but later it showed that she kept spelling your name wrong for so many times. She was condescending. Last time, there was a confusing rent amount showing on the system. I initially asked Cynthia to confirm the correct rent amount within the Grace Period (1st day) after finding out the problem and she provided a wrong one irresponsibly and said i did not owe any amount, which resulted in my late payment and late fee. I genuinely had the intention to pay on time and followed up timely when problems were found, but her irresponsible act led to my failure to pay within the grace period, which resulted in the late fee. I asked if she can waive due to such systematic fault and she refused and explained the lease in a very arbitrary way, which were not correct at all. Naming provisions that were not even existed in the lease. I asked her to show me the proof and she was sitting there checking the lease for 20 mins and did not find one, which was absurd to me and rude. After arguing, she was not friendly and there were poor communications. I did not intend to pay premium price for that service, which was not very pleasant.

To update - Luckily, Cynthia is left now. New Manager Henna is nice to talk to and she is willing to fix the smoking problems. I can see that Jones Berkeley is improving and i believe the ventilation problem should be solved soon and the communication is getting better.

I lived in Jones Berkeley for 1 year until last month and it was an amazing experience. The apartment is perfect and new, the neighborhood is excellent, the complex has a nice gym (I used it a lot!), and wonderful spaces for meetings such as a lounge area and a unique rooftop. All of these things I could imagine before moving to Jones Berkeley by visiting their home page, but what I couldn't have known without living there, and most importantly, is the outstanding quality of the management and maintenance team. You are exceptional! I am very grateful to Cynthia and her team for every day of the year that I lived there! I hope to live there again in the near future!

Want to give a shout out to Cynthia and her team for the prompt resolution of a slip hazard service request in the 3rd floor outdoor walkway. The team quickly assessed the issue and put in place an innovative effective solution in good time. My experience always has been that Cynthia and the team are very customer focused in every engagement. Keep up the great work in making Jones Berkeley a wonderful apartment community.

We resided at Jones Berkeley for over a year, and it was a fantastic experience. A special acknowledgment goes to Cynthia, the property manager, whose exceptional dedication stood out.

Cynthia promptly addressed our inquiries and concerns related to the apartment and exhibited warmth and professionalism in organizing resident events alongside her team. LJ, the leasing officer was also extremely helpful and both moving in and out were a breeze thanks to the team. Even the maintenance team Marvin, Harold and cleaning team Jim, and Jeanette were all very friendly and helpful which I truly appreciated. The management team here was consistently present, attentive and extremely reliable during our stay.

Jones Berkeley also provided a safe environment and a convenient location. The presence of Acme bakery across the street and proximity to the charming Northbrae neighborhood, Fourth Street, along nearby parks, added to the appeal of living here. The facilities and spaces within the building are modern and clean.

We highly recommend Jones Berkeley apartments!

Jones Berkeley is an awesome apartment complex! Very high quality building in an excellent location (close to freeway and shops). The management and maintenance staff are all kind and responsive; they go out of their way to ensure a comfortable living environment. Cynthia and LJ also put on community activities every other month, like today's Holiday Hot Cocoa Social, with snacks and a gift wrapping station. I've been here 6 months and have been so happy with the decision to move in!

I have only been here for less than one week, but so far the place is excellent. It feels secure, my neighbors that I have met seem friendly and welcoming, and the apartment is great. Everything just works. The AC in the unit is very strong, the unit is very new and clean, the arrangement is good. Deliveries, from door dash, to amazon, to furniture, has been simple and easy. I am really enjoying my new home.

I really love living here. It’s clean and modern. It has very nice gym, lounge area and my favorite roof top with scenic views and a fireplace which makes it hard to want to go anywhere else on the weekends. The management is A+ any issues gets solved in real time and Cynthia (manager) is very welcoming and always happy to help! And last but not least it feels very safe here unlike any other Bay Area apartment I have been in.
