If you’re looking for a place to live without any headache or kick back, then do not look here. The process was disrespectful, deceitful and tiresome.

I am currently serving in the military at JBLM, WA and was in the market to rent a home. Upon finding this home on the market I contacted the management company to view the home. My partner and I set up an appointment and viewed the home on 3 July 2019. Everything went well and we loved the home. We asked multiple times what the process was to apply and we were encouraged that all we needed to do was apply online that night and we would be good to go and she would let us know the following day (the 4th of July). That day came and no response. (Benefit of the doubt, federal holiday). It wasn’t until sending a follow up email in regards to submitting our application ($80.00) that the agent finally emailed ONLY me back in reference to my partner that my partners application had been denied and the home was already leased to someone else.

So within 48 hours (over a federal holiday) there had been an application, separate from ours, and accepted? Most applications take 1-5 days to process. It would seem that this company already had multiple applications in and did not disclose that information in order to accept our $80.00.

When asked for a refund - because she initially refused to tell us the reason behind the denied application (which ended up being a credit history problem, in which, my partner doesn’t own a credit card or carry debt), she refused the refund saying the application fee was for “the time and resources spent.” (We were accepted on an application together, with another realty group, a week later- weird how that worked).

Additionally in reviews from 10 months ago, a similar issue occurred and she offered that individual a refund of their money but refused to us. Could this be because my partner and I are gay or we weren’t good enough for the home? Seems to call into question the Washington Fair Housing Act. Either way, the respect was awful and the experience for looking for a home severely diminished.

Again, if you’re looking for a stress free home and renting/buying experience, I recommend you look elsewhere.

I inquire to one of the house May 28 been trying to get a hold of her, call, txt and even leave voice message but no answer we are interested to one of the property that she have. I only ask to give us a call because we have a few questions before we apply to make sure everything is good because we don't want to pay application fee and get denied for something. June 3 I got message saying the house is now lease. Horrible I DONT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS TO ANYONE 👎

Extremely unresponsive and unprofessional. Called several times, left two messages, and used the message feature on Trulia over a period of five days. Did receive an automated email to the web message I sent saying I would be contacted shortly. Finally texted the phone number we had been calling saying that we had received no response and we were interested in a property. The response I received was, “What property?” I responded. Several minutes later they responded, “It has been leased.” If I could leave zero stars I would.

My husband and I left messages on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (and called many other times on those days). Our messages included the property we were interested in. Since it was Memorial Day weekend, we gave your company the benefit of the doubt believing we would get a call on Tuesday. That did not happen. As for my text, “Thanks for getting back to us,” it was written with sarcasm (I should have included an emoji like 🙄 or 🤦‍♀️). If you had been as responsive to our calls and messages as you have been to this bad review, I would not have had to write the bad review. On the other hand if you happen to get another house for lease in the Lacey/Olympia area, that is a rambler with all hard floors (no carpet) and has a master bath with soaker tub, you have my number. I would happily remove my bad review.
