I have been renting with Key City Property Management for over a year now. My experience started off terribly—the person I was communicating with was consistently unavailable, rude, and unprofessional. It was incredibly frustrating, and I felt like I was getting nowhere.

However, out of the blue, I received an email informing me that this individual was no longer with the company. Since then, the communication and support from Key City Property Management have improved significantly. They have been extremely helpful in assisting me with maintaining my rental property, and now, as I move forward with selling it, their support has continued.

Kudos to Key City Property Management for the positive turnaround!

We just started renting a Hagerstown property from them going on two months now and I must say they are by far the greatest!!! They get back to you quickly .. do their very best to get everything fixed promptly and you can tell actually give a shit! we were having issues with our heat and it was getting cold and they were just unbelievable with the concern and making sure it was done and followed up to see if everything went well. I had a spot in my ceiling that I thought looked like maybe it was a leak maybe not turned out to be one but they got the plumber to us quickly not even being certain that it was a leak out of any rental company I've dealt with in the last nearly 20 years of renting they by far just in this little bit of time have exceeded my expectations and have been the best and you can can tell will continue to be so just you know if you're looking to rent definitely look and see if they have any properties available in the area you're looking cuz chefs kiss to them.

After contracting my property with Key City Management Company to be leased, I quickly realized things weren't going as I had hoped. The advertisement on rental platforms was lackluster, and communication was neither timely nor clear. It eventually reached the point where I decided to terminate the contract.

However, when I called Key City to request the removal of the key box, I was pleasantly surprised by Joe, who answered the phone. Joe is a genuinely kind and honest person with a strategic mindset and a remarkable sense of patience. Instead of being dismissive, he offered me valuable advice and extended his help to guide me through the process of renting out my property—completely free of charge. His honesty, care, and willingness to assist, especially in an industry where many prioritize profit over service, was a refreshing change.

Thanks to Joe’s guidance, I was able to rent out my house in a short time. It became clear that the issue wasn’t with the company itself but rather with the approach taken by some individuals within it. Joe's integrity and dedication made all the difference.

I am thankful for all the past reviews here of Key City because they are what helped me decide to reach out and ask for help with renting out my single-family home in Frederick after I moved. After inspecting my property Joe had the insight to suggest renting it out as an Airbnb, which also gave me more personal flexibility with using the space as well. The home has now been listed and almost fully booked since August 2022. Joe and his team continue to actively manage the bookings, cleanings, and assorted random tasks that come up with maintenance of a single-family home.

I recently moved in as a tenant under a building owned by KCPM and have been having a good first renter’s experience. When we had issues or worries they were resolved almost immediately, to the point that I, someone who grew up without a garbage disposal, was having issues and the owner of the building himself and the listed CEO of KCPM was at my house in less then twenty minutes walking me through how what I thought was a genuine issue, could be fixed with the press of a button.
I’ve been living under one of the roofs owned by this company for almost a month now and am genuinely having a wonderful time. 5/5
