My complaint with Knikahtnu is two-fold... I am not a shareholder, but I am close friends with one. His name is Douglas, we have been friends for 30 years. Douglas has contacted Knikahtnu about his shares in the corporation that he inherited from his late mother, Marie, multiple times. She passed away in February of 20. For four years he has been waiting for renumeration. Earlier this week, as I understand it, Douglas got the word that they would have a check READY (emphasis added) for him if he showed up at the corporate office in Wasilla on Friday. I stress the word "READY", because when Douglas showed up today at 3:30 in the afternoon of Friday, August 2, 2024, he was informed that while the check had been printed, it had NOT BEEN SIGNED and therefore WAS NOT READY. I am making such a big deal about this because neither I nor Doug live in Wasilla. Doug does not have a license or a vehicle, therefore I had to drive to Anchroage from where I live (mile 88.5 Parks Highway), pick him up, take him to Wasilla, then back to Anchorage, then home. This is over 400 miles of driving in my truck, which is a V8 ford. The gas alone will set me back almost $200. On top of this outrage, he was told to just "come back Monday morning". This means we will have to rent a place to stay at our own expense (weekend summer rates) as well as board for 3 night 2 days. Not to mention the work I have to put on hold to deal with this complete and utter fiasco. I estimate that I will be out close to $2k when it is all said and done. This not the first time I have had my time and gas wasted. Two thousand characters can barely contain the amount of contempt and ire I feel towards this corporation. What they have done constitutes at the VERY LEAST a breach of trust between them and Douglas, and possibly one with me. I would not have bothered to spend my day driving yet again only to be told by the indifferent staff that I must wait until Monday as though that were acceptabl
