Ive read several negative reviews and have not experienced the poor service described. We have banked at KCU for over 40 years and have been well served. We have seen staff shortages at times like all other institutes and have had to wait a bit longer. I'm glad to read of policies in place to secure our money even if it makes things a little inconvenient. Overall we will be staying with KCU.

TLDR: DONT BANK WITH THESE PEOPLE

I have been with kcu for over 5 years. And boy, has their customer service standards dropped. Good luck getting ahold of anybody at the actual banks who can help you. You'll get sent to a call center full of people who are just there to give you non-descriptive pointers to any problems you're having. Their mortgage department is an entire joke, I wish I could've switched to a different bank if I had the chance because the amount of running around they have you do is ridiculous and unnecessary. They're even still giving us problems two months after closing! I don't recommend this bank to anyone anymore. I remember it used to be all about the members, but over the last few years, it's proven the opposite time and time again. Go to literally any other bank, and you'll have a better experience all around,I guarantee it.

Very disappointing. My wife and I have been long time members of KCU. We have had mortgages, car loans and a fairly sizable account balance over the years. However, we had an appointment set up so my daughter could open a cd with her excess savings from working over the past couple summers. Only to very quickly realize that KCU does not allow you to open one of their cd specials with existing money. I would personally recommend taking your money elsewhere, as there are many both brick and mortar institutions and online banking institutions that will allow you to use the money from your existing accounts for a CD. KCU has definitely decreased customer service efforts and desire to retain customers in the past number of years.

Additionally, at least two times either myself or a family member have been stuck at the drive-through window, not waiting in line, but at the drive-through window for 15 minutes or more. One time I was late to pick up my kid from school. KCU needs to get it together. There is no reason unless you are minting the money in house, that it should take more than 5 minutes for a window transaction.

ATM didn't give me the money and now I won't have that money for 10 days and have to dispute the transaction with my bank. Garbage ATMs

Used to be a lot better. Very slow service. There are much better options out there. For instance, I have tried to call 5 times in the last 2 days but have spent over an hour and 40 minutes total on hold without talking to a soul. That is simply unacceptable. And good luck trying to make an appointment. Definitely "customer no service" here. NOT a satisfied customer.

I've been with KCU since 2015 and I will never bank with them again. I deposited an $9,500 insurance check with them and they put a 7 day business hold on it which turns out to be 11 days with the the 2 weekends in between. I called and complained and the person indicated they would forward my information to the branch member and call me back. One week later, I'm still waiting for a call even though I called them back since. Almost a week later I deposited $3,000 cash at their ATM outside their credit union because the lobby and drive up windows were closed and then found out that they put a 3 day hold on cash deposits over $500 through ATMS and that the ATM does that automatically and there's nothing they can do about it. The ATM is theirs and is right outside their building. This is ridiculous that I don't have access to my funds as I now have bills that are accumulating because of it. I will be closing my accounts and moving my banking elsewhere. I would like to give them no stars but Google makes me select one.

Never join this credit union for business or personal accounts. I have had 16 years of experiencing how extremely hard it is to work with them. I recently started working with Waldo State Bank and they are AMAZING!

Always a long way. Then takes on average 5 minutes or more for teller to process payment just to make a mortgage payment.
