We bought our first house through Sydnie Taylor with Lake Realty a year ago. We are so happy that we chose to work with Sydnie! She is easy to work with, professional and knows her stuff. She was upfront with us from the beginning about the housing market being very competitive especially in our price point. She explained that at the time, houses were on the market for only about a week, so we would need to move quickly on houses that we found that we wanted to put an offer on. By the time we had seen the house online, she typically had already seen it and knew if it would fit what we were looking for. More often than not, she sent us houses that had just been listed as for sale. Sydnie is who you want on your side in a fast moving market.
When we first met with Sydnie, we explained what we were looking for, a fixer, but a manageable fixer. She has tons of experience with remodeling and fixing. As we looked at houses, we were able to ask her opinion about what was doable and what needed to be done for the houses we were looking at. We also were able to ask how we could change the houses we looked at to help them suit what we were looking for. She was extremely knowledgable about what upgrades would payoff and which upgrades were sinkholes and not worth it.
My favorite part of our initial meeting with Sydnie was when she said that she loved the negotiating aspect of home buying. In a competitive market, she was exactly what we were looking for. She was extremely good at knowing what was reasonable to ask for and what to offer when writing the offer. She was also great at making our offer the best it could be with what we had to work with. A very important aspect of purchasing for anyone, but especially important for first time homebuyers.
Sydnie was with us through our whole home buying process, through each pre-inspection, inspection, appraisal, sewer scope, and everything else that comes with home buying. There were unforeseeable delays with the sellers that Sydnie walked us through and explained what our options were. She was helpful and extremely supportive through the entire process going above and beyond what most realtors would do. She answered all our questions with professionalism and a great deal of knowledge from the beginning of our hunt through getting the keys to our first house (even the ones that I felt silly asking). And she still answers questions I have a year later! We ended up with a perfect first house and had the best realtor on our side! I don't think we'd be nearly as happy with our purchase if it weren't for Sydnie.
