Our 3 day stay at SUNNYSIDE with a family of 20 was BEYOND ALL EXPECTATIONS. The location was secluded, very beautiful, totally quiet, and very close to every gorgeous mountain peak, and attraction. The property was exactly as described in the ad. They didn't even advertise that they include many outdoor chairs, gas for the gas grill, and so much more. The only thing you have to bring here is yourself, and food. They provide EVERYTHING. The staff members Ritchy, and the other very nice lady, they were OUTSTANDING, very compassionate, inviting, informative, and had nothing but kindness to offer us. We would absolutely book again if were were offered the same price again.

If you want a magical getaway into the deep mountainous and see the true West Virginia, this is the BEST place to book if you have a large family. SUGGESTIONS: 1.) The price was borderline unaffordable. A lower price could attract more families to book. 2.) Less printed paperwork. We were handed a very thick folder with everything about this property. This should be optional, if the guests wants it printed. I hated throwing away 80 pages.

We will NEVER EVER forget our time here with our family. Truly spectacular, peaceful, beautiful house, property and location. A trip of a lifetime with our family.

We booked this home with hopes to spend Christmas and New Years in a nice home to share with friends and family. To begin with, in the hone description it clearly stated we can take ATV and any other outdoor toys. We drove for over 20 hours from Miami,FL to that location to the be told ATV’s were not allowed. At that time at night, it was around 1am we had to contact the renter to fin alternatives. We were taken to 2 other homes but they we in unlivable conditions, those homes had not been cleaned in months. So we were then taken to the original home that we booked through VRBO, and had to leave all three ATV’s in a garage elsewhere.

It was a three couples for three rooms, but the first night we arrived one of the rooms was unbearable, there were dead flies and bugs everywhere. There was a bloody insect on the bed sheets, and the smell all over the house was so intense we had to spray it all with splash’s and leave the windows/doors open. Aside from that the water in the house was YELLOW, like if it had not been running in months or years. You could not shower without smelling like pure rusted iron. And as if that was not already bad enough, the toilets had urine stains. The next day we contacted the renters in regards to this and they sent a cleaning lady. The home was barely cleaned, they put the same dirty bed covers over the bed. Having no alternative at this point we decided to try to make the best of our stay.

After not being able to adjust, and having to even share rooms because the first room still had a terrible smell and dirty sheets. We ended up leaving 3 days early. We went to the property renters office, as she had promised us a considerable refund. After the two weeks mark that they stated the refund to take we received half of the refund that was promised. He have been calling their office ever since and they do not accept our calls. Honestly the worst and most unprofessional rental company ever!

We stayed at the Raptor Ridge property. It had great views from the deck and plenty of hiking near by but that's where it stops. We'll start downstairs, the hot tub leaked water and we had to put water in it 3 times, the downstairs fireplace didn't work and was literally full of trash and peanut shells, the sauna didn't work at all and was one of the main reasons we rented this property. They knew it wasn't working when we called about it but still never said anything about it. The twin beds downstairs were very uncomfortable, the mattresses were only around 3 inches thick. The ceiling tiles were falling down in one of the downstairs bedrooms as well as the heater vent on the ceilings was barely hanging on. We saw mice running across the floors downstairs as well, we even took pictures to show but we couldn't upload them. Two days before we left there was A HORRIBLE smell downstairs so we looked in the closets and found a dead mouse stuck to a glue trap and was rotting. Now upstairs, the fireplace upstairs might as well not worked either because the flame was only 1-2 inches high, you could put your hanf directly on the screen and couldn't feel any heat at all. The upstairs was super drafty and couldn't get it warm. If you tuthe heat up to try and warm it up it got soooooo hot downstairs you couldn't stand it at night. There was 2 coffee pots in the kitchen and neither one worked, we had to go buy one just to have coffee. We found dirty old laundry under the beds and in the couches from previous tenants. The trash can was full of trash also when we arrived. We had rented alot of cabins in the past but this is one was the worse one yet!! I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone until the do alot of repairs. There was only 8 bath towels total in all 4 bathrooms and we had 9 guest. It sleeps 10 so I can't understand why you only have 8 towels. There's honestly noooooo where to eat in town and they row the sidewalks up in town by 8pm. We went into town New Year's Eve at 8pm and nothing was open. We loved the country but that was about it. You can honestly tell the property is taken care of from a reality company and not a private owner. We paid over $2600 for 7 nights at this property and we feel it was way to much.
