Avoid at all costs! We lived in O'Neill Heights for 1 year and just moved out. These people hit you with INSANE move out charges!!! We had carpet in 3 bedrooms and they literally take a light and search your carpet for any spots. There was 1 spot in 2 of the bedrooms that couldn't be seen at all only under the light. It didn't smell like anything either. They charged us $763.05 to replace the carpet in all 3 bedrooms!!!!!! Like wth? These homes house many different military families so this makes no sense. Their whole house cleaning fee for the tiny houses is $485 and that doesn't include the floors being cleaned so they charge you an additional $155 for just the floors. The backyards are big but there's nothing but dirt, weeds and gopher holes. No grass. They refuse to seed and treat the backyards between tenants. The big backyards were a major part of why we decided on this housing but they are not maintained so you just end up with pokies from the weeds and foxtails which I had to pull out of my dogs paws endlessly. The dirt ends up getting tracked into the house nonstop. There are so many power outages there too. Planned and unplanned. It's horrible. They have mice, spiders, and gopher issues too. There have also been snakes (which is understandable but still horrifying). No windows in any of the bathrooms so they easily grow mold. Barely any storage space and only a 1 car garage which would BARELY fit 1 small vehicle if you have nothing stored in your garage. They do have ac which isn't very common on Camp Pendleton. There is constantly debris on the side walks so kids can't rollerblade and have to be extremely careful when riding their scooters. Overall, I strongly recommend avoiding Liberty. Hunt has never screwed us over to this degree. I felt a strong need to warn all military families considering O'Neill Heights. Their motto is something like Serving military and their families but that is total BS. All they do is take FULL ADVANTAGE of us!!!! Avoid, avoid avoid!!!

I honestly love this place, I could live here for years, I have never had any kind of problems with the management, they are super flexible people, that is if the air conditioning policy is not mentioned in the contract, everyone has a unit in their home, they should be a little more flexible with cats. When I place a work order, they respond super fast. I recommend this area. It is super calm, silent, and organized

Thanks lincoln! I asked if they can do anything about the grime and discoloration in my cabinets cause it just looked disgusting and dirty. Wasn’t expecting this… Spray paint…

No one ever gives you a call back when they say they will to relate more of what’s going on (Tahsi) (concession month delay) and for the district manager Judy to say there is no one else that can be spoken to about the situation is ridiculous. There is always someone above someone so that’s inaccurate I’m sure. No one ever answers the phones. You literally have to go into the office to speak to someone and that’s where you just hear the phone and them not answer them.

I honestly don’t know how this company has continued to work onboard military installations. To say their customer service, maintenance, and overall effort towards maintaining property is abysmal would be generous. Most customers will not receive their owed concessions checks for months. My neighbor alone is owed $20,000. My family was owed nearly $5,000. That’s money that family members are entitled to and need.

They take forever to respond to maintenance issues, if at all. As previously stated, owed concessions are a whole other problem. Their staff could care less about solving the issues that their operation creates. Often times, they will forget or not even document the problems. After all that, their move out inspections are overly harsh. The housing inspector could not even point out the carpet stains that they claimed would call for the carpet being replaced.

I’m not one to leave reviews on companies, but It’s honestly a joke of an organization. When remarks are made in the military saying, “the contracts go to the lowest bidder”, it makes sense with Liberty Military Housing. It is not just with this neighborhood. It is a systemic problem that follows all the way up to their regional managers.

I don’t understand how this organization is consistently terrible throughout the years. I’ve tried calling their office number during their working hours several times a week, they never ever answer. To get a response to an e-mail takes DAYS, if I even get a response and that’s only after emailing again and again. Military members/vets deserve so much better than this hardly bare minimum organization.

Housing is cramped, people are rude, customer service is trash and the reps are rude, not worth the time and hassle of moving my family in. Long wait for maintenance and work orders. Now where to park my car. Walls are super thin and con hear EVERYTHING at night. Heating elements almost fails and no AC. And cockroaches all around the place
