We chose Brett Jenning group's Real Estate Experts firm after interviewing 20+ different realtors. Some of the key criteria we used for shortlisting was attention to detail, ownership and most importantly doing things the right way (no shortcuts, comprehensive disclosures, being humane)

Brett and his right + left hand the inimitable Lin-Lin arrived for the introductory meeting (Sales pitch to represent the property as Seller's agent) well prepared with key facts about the property pulled from public records (county, Zillow/Redfin), current state of the market followed up with an actual walk through of the property highlighting areas of major improvement for getting maximum returns on investment. Some of the memorable insights shared by the team during that initial face to face meeting:

A) SQ feet mismatch between County and Zillow/Redfin - this was a big revelation and potentially very impactful for the final sales price. Lo and behold, within a few days of signing the agreement, Lin-Lin's team had commissioned a formal survey and interfaced with County to get the correct SQ feet reflected (turned out to be 15% higher!)

B) Took copious notes + photos during the walk through and identified key gaps some of which were jaw droppingly impressive (given they had spent just under an hour while we were living here for 5+ yrs). Ex: Highlighted potential Section I Wood destroying organism almost 25+ feet up on outside back side wall - even though they were not formally trained property/termite inspectors they knew what/where to look.

This initial meeting was highly representative of the very positive experience we had in the subsequent months till the successful sale of the property

Primary reason for such consistent high performance is the team that Brett/Lin-Lin have assembled together. Every one of the people we interacted with live and breathe initiative and professionalism. Special shout out to Doug (Listing manager) - we were deeply inspired by his practical, no nonsense and outstanding commitment to preempt problems, propose out of the box solutions and follow through till their prompt resolution.

In addition, the team is ably supported by a variety of trusted external partners they have on their speed dial. Right from Property inspection to general contractor to Escrow, every one of their extended team members were an absolute pleasure to deal with. They all went above and beyond of what was expected from them

Most critically, with Brett also heading the larger Real Estate Experts group meant they could seamlessly engage their colleagues (Jose, Johnny, Ann to name a few) from the larger brokerage to host more than two dozen open houses. Lin-Lin leveraged the end of day buyer feedback reports from these open houses to keep an active pulse on the market as well as fine tune our property's unique selling points.

Taking a step back, the whole selling process for any seller is a deeply nerve wrecking experience given it will probably be the biggest monetary transaction in their life. Having an experienced partner who can provide objective advice as well as project manage each and every stage involved in getting their property sold diffuses much of the tension and misunderstandings. Brett's group with never give up attitude of Lin-Lin played this role for us. Both in words and action they are the diamond dream team. They truly shine both day and night!
