Completely dishonest and corrupt court and officers in this area! I’ve always had respect for officers for keeping people safe but I’m really starting to lose that now as I find out how dishonest so many of them can be.

I was pulled over by Michael Hauser July 2020 for going 83 in a 70 on I-90 E. He claimed in the police report that we were the only car approaching although that is completely false! There were several cars passing me left and right. I was traveling with my mother and she agreed that there was no way we were speeding. Believe me, she would be the first to be on the officers side had I actually been speeding. My car has trouble even getting up to 80. A lot of other people have reported they were pulled over and cited for the same exact speed which is oddly suspicious.

I have a completely clean driving record, have not ever been pulled over before this. With everything I do in life, I keep safety as a top priority. I decided to go through with a contested hearing because I felt I had a lot to say about the fact there was no way I was speeding. This was all during the statewide mask mandate due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The officer also did NOT wear a mask as he was within less than 6 feet of my mother and myself and leaned into our car. Whether you believe in the seriousness of this pandemic or not, It’s still a requirement. Many people look up to officers for following all laws and keeping people safe. Him not wearing a mask shows complete lack of respect for his job, the city council, the government, and our health and safety. This specific officer has also been awarded several times over the past couple years for leading in his detachment’s speeding infractions. All of this makes it seems as though this officer is all about meeting/going above his quota even if that means being dishonest.

But of course nothing ever happens to them for being dishonest. The judges just have to believe that their reports are 100% true.

Was given a speeding ticket for 80 in a 70 and an unsafe lane change. The officer witnessed my lane change from inside a passenger window he was leaning in giving a ticket. He claimed that an airplane had caught me speeding as he pulled me over 15 minutes later. I asked for any data that said I was speeding, denied by officer. He laughed at me and said I must be from California. Good guess, you are holding my license but, I had to tell him 3 times I was driving a rental and didn't have insurance so listening was not his job. I explained i was cut off and had to change lanes for safety. I was told to never change lanes for safety. I called the court a few weeks later since I was traveling and not from Seattle. They wanted a payment. Wait, I want to appeal. Had to send a letter they confirmed they recieved to appeal. I explain in letter I didn't have the ticket and didn't realize they would NEVER mail me one. I got plenty of collection notices though after I called them. Then my appeal was denied based on me not appealing within 15 days. Pretty short and ridiculous process for someone out of state. Your local government just scammed me for $350 bucks. Tourists must love it here. Also your prerecorded 5 minute message I must listen to in order to speak with a person is antiquated and absurd.

I was pulled over for not have a front plate on my vehicle. I received a correction notice to put it on in 7 days even though I was going on vacation for 7 days so this was not possible. I received a ticket in the mail 8 weeks later. I went to pay the ticket online that day but it said it was overdue. The payment was due 3 days before I even received the ticket. They also charged a $9 convenience fee for payment. I found out 3 months later that I was charged a $52 late fee (on $134 ticket) from a collections agency. Once they sent the $52 to collections, there is an additional $52 fee added to it. Therefor they got me for $254 because of their awful processing system. I will never purchase anything in that county again.

Ps, the cop was a dick. Don't make a wrong move in this area or they will find a way to ticket you.

Passing through town several months ago, going 75 in a 70. I had my cruise control on and going 70, but was going 75 to pass a semi truck that was throwing rocks and chipped my windshield. Cop pulls me over claiming I was going 83 in a 70. I have a perfect record, yet the cop LOGAN SWIFT disregarded everything I said. Now my perfect record is tainted for SEVEN years because of the lieing cop, in a small town that writes up everyone for everything they can😠 Good luck appealing anything if you're also wrongfully accused of anything!

I have never written a review but I had to with this one. My husband got a speeding ticket in June 2019 for $250. We mitigated it never heard back. We called 5+ times and each time they said that we would get the mitigation results via email. We never got an email and now (March 2020) they sent us a letter in the mail stating that his license was going to be suspended because we never paid the ticket. I called and said we never got anything and the proceeded to tell us that it was lowered to $150, but now that we are late we owe $210. I told them we never got an email and they said it was probably sent to spam. We called since the date of the supposed email (October) and they said it would be emailed and it has not been with yet. Horrible communication.

I was pulled over on the I 90 exit 106. The officer kept asking about me being from Idaho. I AM not I from Spokane but I purchased a car at Parker Toyota in Idaho so I had Idaho plate. He gave me a speeding ticket for doing 58 in a 40 mph. I came off I 90 that is 70 mph, as soon as I hit the exit I slowed my speed, within 10 yards of the starting of the off ramp there is advisory (yellow) sign that showed 40 mph, then a 4 way stop about 50 more yards. I was pulled over just as I hit the ramp. I really feel this rinky dink cow town is strong arming out of state drivers who will pay the fine and not contest. Please if you have had this done post it. The officer even was joking with another officer that I wouldn't pay the ticket so they did not earn any money this stop.
