MacPherson’s, their owner Kyle, and our Property Manager Travis helped us make the best out of our rental situation. They were available, communicative, timely, and understanding toward our needs as tenants. They treated us like people, rather than just paychecks— which isn’t always the case when you’re in a rental! We owe Travis and Kyle so much for their expertise and professionalism, and would 100% reccomend MacPherson’s Property Management!!

Over the last 10 years my community has been with Macphersons. We initially had a rough round with the old property manager however since Kyle (new owner) has purchased Macphersons the last two years have been amazing!

While I don’t normally share details specifically I will tell you Nick is great with communication and he is very knowledgeable and has been in the business for years! He is very responsive to questions and concerns which is huge since our community has over 100 units!

Since Kyle took over they started a new online system which has been really easy to use for maintenance request as well as any communication required between the owner, renter as well as Macphersons! If you are looking for a company u would highly suggest asking for Nick!

Recently we decided not to continue using this “property management company” as it has done nothing for our property over the years. In asking to assist in help restore the original condition of our investment property they have excuses after excuses as to the reasons why they cannot help. For years Kathryn has sat around collecting monies from renters and has done nothing to ensure that the property stays in livable conditions. We expected a company that would regularly report to us of any issues with the property yet nothing was ever reported. As far as we can tell and merely on her interactions, she is pro-tenant and does nothing for her clients but collect monies that she has not earned by any means. This matter is being reported to the better business bureau and to local Lynwood city council members. It is unethical and disgraceful to those of us who’ve entrusted her to manage our properties. She should be ashamed and step down and or quit.

My homeowners association recently fired McPherson property Management and now I'm finding out about their negligence in taking care of my community and making sure things were run properly. One they didn't file taxes for our community for 4 years. That's their responsibility. Too. They entered into contracts that didn't benefit the entire community. Just one person three. They were slow to respond to community requests and four. I believe that the contractors they sent to us were giving kickbacks to McPherson's that can't be approved, but that's my suspicion. If you are having your property run by McPherson's property Management. I hope that you keep your eye on what they are doing and don't let them nickel and die and dime you to death. I'm so grateful that we got away from this company because one they were poorly run and they poorly ran my community and I remember one time at an HOA meeting. You either pay now or you pay later today with our new property management company. We're finding out that later is now and now my community is due for a special assessment and our dues have raised to double the amount because McPherson's poor management did not fully fund or take care of our reserve fund like they should have with the reserve assessment. Poor poor customer service , work absolute negligence. If you are thinking of hiring this company for your community, go someplace else you will not be happy with what you get.

They’re great at taking money and keeping your actual landlord protected. My basement has flooded 3 years in a row, they fix nothing. The workers they hire are the cheapest around, leaving uncapped electrical wiring stuffed in walls without proper wire nuts. Left us without a furnace in the house for 9 months. Take take take. I’ve never been even a day late with rent. Do not let them into your life. A cardboard box would be better.

We had a new company take over from this one and found out how little our landlord did to document. Moreover, no one bothered telling us a new company was taking over. We found out from the new company 4 days before takeover and was never able to verify it since calls were never returned. The lack of proper documentation despite sufficient notice forced us to pay for additional screenings since the landlord here didn’t document our elderly mother moving in with us. I tried calling to find a compromise on the situation and because our landlord failed to document, they won’t do anything despite having admitted to firing him for other situations like this. If you stuck with this company, good luck.

This organization seems to have high morale with the people you deal with. We've dealt with them for four months and it's easier than before.
I had my fridge go out yesterday and they arranged for a new one the next day. Right in the holiday season!

My agent Janine calls regularly to discuss the care and maintenance of the two homes we rent. She's been so successful with background checks and credit checks that good tenants have stayed for years. Financial reports are always on time monthly with no errors. MacPhersons has done a great job also with finding quality contractors and gathering quotes when needed. They take all of the stress and worry out of being a landlord.
