I think Malena's the real deal and I strongly recommend her.

We had a piece of commercial property that hadn't been easy to sell - not in the best location, complicated zoning, had been on the market before without much luck. We were also a little jaded by our experience with other realtors who had tried to sell the property, and who didn't seem to care about giving it their best shot, perhaps due to its difficult nature.

Malena stood in stark contrast to our other experiences. From the beginning to the end, she kept us abreast of what she was doing, why she was doing it, any goings on with the property (of which there were many). We always appreciated her advice and opinions whenever we had to make a decision. She patiently addressed any doubts or concerns we had. We felt that she wasn't shy about trying all sorts of avenues to make progress. You could tell she just wanted to do a good job, which endeared her to us, and we felt like we were in good hands.

My wife and I were members of a diverse group of lenders who were forced to foreclose a commercial property. There were a total of nine people and an "entity", most of whom were not acquainted with each other. This greatly complicated the decision making process.

As soon as we foreclosed we were informed by the County that the property was in violation of local codes and that over $50,000 in fines had already accumulated. In addition, property taxes were in arrears for almost $30,000.

We opened escrow around July 2022, but it took the court system until October to conduct the eviction trial. It then took the judge another two months to sign the decision. Finally, it took another couple of months before the lock out was conducted.

Malena worked closely with the sellers and with the buyer's agent to keep the buyers on board with the transaction. It was apparent to me that the buyer's agent respected and trusted Malena which greatly helped in holding the escrow together.

I mentioned the convoluted nature of the transaction to highlight the efforts Malena had to make to keep everyone on board. At one point a seller stopped cooperating with escrow. At another point two of the sellers had stopped responding to contacts. Through it all, Malena quickly responded to any issues that arose, kept the buyers interest in the property piqued, and in the end brought a very complicated real estate transaction home. We closed in March, some seven months after escrow opened. Without Malena's efforts I seriously doubt the buyers would have waited so patiently. She did an excellent job.
