My mother was living in Belpre, Ohio until she had a stroke. At 90 years old the stroke forced her into an Assisted Living facility. I live in West Texas and am the oldest child and the Statutory POA. After getting my mom over the stroke and settled in her new home, my next job was to sell her home of 20 years. I asked for realtor referrals from several of her friends as well as looking online. After a number of phone interviews, I settled on 3 realtors to meet. I met with the two friend referral realtors, one was prepared but going on vacation for two weeks, the other should look for a new line of work, the third realtor was Jesse Joseph of McCarthy Realtors. I met Jesse at mom's house and was immediately comfortable visiting with him. I showed him the house and told him my ideas. He then laid out for me a very detailed analysis of the market and how Mom's house fit into it. What price range was reasonable based on comps and the unique street she lived on. He was ready to list the house right then. He did the prep work like he was already my agent and ready to go to work. This set him apart. It is not desirable to have an out of town client who is not the named owner on the deed. It requires more work on the realtors part for the same amount of pay. I'm also particular and not bashful about clearly communicating myself. Jesse sold Mom's house very quickly and was great to deal with throughout the entire process. I consider him a friend now and plan on visiting when I'm back in the area. You could not do better than Jesse if you are looking for a realtor in the Marrietta and Parkersburg area.

Very helpful and informative. I called for help with their website, and ended up with a mini education on home buying. Definitely my first choice when I'm ready for a realtor.
