If I could give them a zero star rating I would. Since they took over the Reserve at Shelley lake, The front office has been the worst that I've ever seen at any other complex, took them months to get the new rental portal working, months to get the new key fobs for the office, and they have been incredibly rude and unprofessional. The overall experience with the new office staff has been really disappointing. First off my wife and I have no pets, no kids, don't throw parties. Recently we got our lease renewal and they are trying to raise our rent by 12% from $1220 to $1365. When my wife and I tried to negotiate with them, we talked to the manager and tried to explain that the average rent for a one bedroom in Spokane valley is $1025. And that since last year rent is down 5% in the Valley, 3% for Spokane County, and down $100 for all of washington state, and that the new proposed rent is 25% higher than the average rent for a one bedroom in the valley. She then cherry picked the two newest and most expensive complexes in the valley and said that the Reserve at Shelley lake is on par with their prices and that the Reserve has all the same amenities as them. When in reality I know our apartment is at least 10 years old, we pay $65 a month for just water and sewer, while we have to pay garbage separately to waste management. every other complex we have lived in, would include garbage with water and sewer and it was cheaper than the $65 we pay for just water and sewer. Also like I mentioned before we didn't have regular access to the office for months. She also said that she didn't care if we renewed our lease because they would then list our apartment for $1475 and that they would have someone in the apartment within two weeks. And that we should be happy that they're not charging us $1475. So it's very clear that management only cares about making as much money as possible and not about the happiness or well-being of their tenants.

The Reserve at Shelly lake has gone completely down hill. I have lived there for 7 years and as a property manager myself, I have never felt so unwelcome than when the new management took over after Ben left. I understand the industry is hard, I took a year off and now back to managing again but show some compassion to your residents. It’s all about customer service and when you can’t even say hi to the manager without being given a dirty look , says a lot about the people who hire their staff. Ben was wonderful and it’s a shame how fast McC management took over .

I have always love living at my property, the reserve at Shelley lake. But since McC management has taken over, it has completely become extremely unprofessional. Never did i think i would be paying 1400$ a month to receive !unprofessional rude attitudes from the front office, especially Hailey and Casey. I have never had problems here in my 2 years, until Lauren McCormick took over. My ledger states that I have been paying 1340$ each month. With out a notice they chose to raise my rent to 1375$ with in one month(found this out after they took 2 months to set up a new portal to pay rent on), then in 2 months they expect me to resign my lease at 1475$ which is a total of 135$ rent increase in 3 months. And once I brought this to their attention I was asked to provide proof of my payments, I’m sorry but I pay more than enough at this property for you to be able to sit at your desk and figure out the issue. Also i put in a request for my washer to be fixed on December 22 2023 and it took management till January 4th 2024 to replace it after telling me there were waiting for a part, instead of bringing me a new washer in the first place. The saddest part of this all is the fact that before this horrible management came in we had one of the best. I never had to worry about being trapped in my apartment because the plow blocked my car in, or being worried to hit curbs because there is no reflectors. But we have plenty of fall hazard signs. To think I was support a business that cared about their residents. Thank you LAUREN McCORMICK AND STACY DOUGLASS FOR DESTROYING OUR HOME. Do better. Be better. Be kind. You never know who you are affecting and how it will come back to you. Best of luck to this horrible management team.

I have given this property management company a 1-star rating because of the lack of property management skill they seem to possess particularly to 1 property. They have recently taken over the Shelly Lake Reserve Apartment complex in the valley that used to be managed by Douglass Property Management Company. Since this transition, I have gotten nothing but attitude from the management in the office when I go in there. I have also been having issues with my neighbor which has led management to get involved and they have had an attitude and been very unprofessional about this matter I am dealing with. They have also done a very poor job of snow removal within the community. Douglass Property Management used to snow blow all walkways, parking spots and available driveways they could as well as lay down deicer. This new management company Mc C has told residents that the only snow removal they do is from a company they have hired to plow, or they will snow blow walkways around the main office. They do not take care of walkways around people's residents, or parking spaces, nor do they remove the snow that gets piled up in front of parked cars after the plows have been there. The Shelly Reserve will never have a better management company then Douglass Properties.

Top property management company. They have taken over my apartment from Greystar and has had a wonderful transfer with very little problems. They make sure that all work orders are worked and have the best management. If you have the chance check them out and sign your next lease!
