Some great local wines. Pinot noir and chardonnays mostly from
SLH and Arroyo Secco AVAs.
We didn't love every wine, and that seems appropriate for authentic creations from a range of winemakers that they work with.
Try the 2017 "block 3" vs "old vine" which come from the land adjacent to each other but taste different.
Nice facility and service.
Wines are a bit pricey but in line with other good wines from those locations.

Had a fantastic time doing a tasting at this winery! The owner, Steve happened to be at the tasting room while we were there. He made a point to stop by every table doing a tasting and thank them for chosing McIntyre that day. Very solid wine and an incredibly knowledgeable staff! Highly recommend!

Excellent place to wine taste! Friendly staff and the wine is very nice on the pallet! Find a luxury home close by to be close to the Carmel Valley Wine area at luxevaca!

We’ve been here twice, once in 2020 and more recently in 2021. The first time the service was great - super friendly and attentive. Second time the service was inconsistent, rude, and we got only 6 of the 7 tastings we paid for. The folks working there also seemed to be fighting with each other? The wines aren’t good enough to go back - go a couple doors down to Albatross Ridge for better wine and people.

Absolutely love Boekenoogen Winery! It is such a hidden gem and if you are in the Monterey area definitely stop by. The tasting room is deep in beautiful Carmel Valley Village in a quaint little town. My personal favorite was their smooth Chardonnay. The winery is also privately owned and you can tell they are very passionate about creating quality wine. Highly recommend.

Disappointed. I chose this place because of good reviews. It was our first tasting in Carmel valley. My husband and I had 2 flights, he tried 5 whites I was trying 5 reds. All options were of the same taste, really watery, no aftertaste, no bouquet, nothing. Felt like all wines were from the same bottle. White tasted the same. I was so upset because it was not just our first winery but our first time in Carmel valley. But after that we visited 3 more tasting room and ended up buying wines in every one except this. I have no idea what is wrong with this place.

Some of the best wines I've ever tasted. I love the Pinot Noir, it made me come back for more. The Chardonnay is also a great wine especially when sitting in the sun on their beautiful patio. Very nice, friendly hardworking family that takes pride in their work.
A must stop place if you visit the Carmel valley area.
