Had a lovely experience with our maintenance man Max! He was so kind and fixed the long list of work orders my roommate and I had put in without a single complaint. Max has very admirable work ethic. He is the only maintenance man my roommate and I will call if we have an issue!

I've lived at Metro for 4 years. The apartments themselves are fine, what you see online is pretty much what you get, decently clean, and usually very little damage. Be aware most of the security cameras do not work! We had things stolen and the office told us the cameras were out of commission. The real issue with Metro is the management. The people in the office are usually nice, but pretty much clueless. I've had multiple times where they've "lost" packages because they've misplaced them. And take any answers from them with a grain of salt. The upper management have been sucked dry of any sort of kindness or honesty, and simply want to take your money. You will NEVER get your full security deposit back, it is literally in your lease they will charge you for carpet shampoo and cleaning. I attached photos of my F-rated apartment according to Metro. They painted my whole bathroom saying there were steam marks on the wall that did not fall under "Normal wear and tear." Write down on your move in sheet everything that has a mark, scuff or is broken or stained. Walls and trim especially!!! Because they will charge you $$$ per wall AND per trim. The maintenance is inconsistent some workers are great and quick others stroll into your apartment without knocking. I've walked out multiple times to see management and maintenance in my apartment who never bothered to knock. I've even called out "Hello is someone here?" and they ignore me asking so I get jump scared when I walk out. Be aware that signing your lease can also get pretty pricey, there is a ridiculous management fee that can range from $100 - $500 and is basically an involuntary tip for upper management for their terrible service. After move out I went to their main office to discuss some deductions from my deposit. They left me in the waiting room for an extended period of time while they were having their morning donuts. We then had an extended conversation about the deposit they took, which fyi they said I lost my whole deposit plus owed them an additional $100 and gave me no place to pay it! Lorretta and Becky were extremely condescending and rude. For example one of the charges was for a SINGLE window blind we had left dirty, but I had moved into a new metro apartment with filthy window blinds. They had no explanation. They have ridiculous charges but don't actually fix the things they charge you for. They even attempted to charge me for tampering with the outdoor lights because the previous resident had unscrewed them. Overall, the place itself was fine but the management leaves MUCH to be desired.

Metro Student Leasing has the best maintenance team. Specifically, Max, he is always here helping everyone and everything. Max is so motivated and eager to help anyone that needs it. He has single handedly resolved all work orders we have had kindly and quickly. Metro needs more workers like Max, he always puts a smile on my face and truly makes this place feel like home. This man needs a raise for all he does!!!
