We just had the worst experience house wise ever renting a house for the week in fort Morgan. Do NOT RECOMMEND renting through the rental company VACASA. We were at 6711 driftwood drive in fort Morgan. When we arrived there was full garbage cans with garbage on ground around them, glass and bottle caps around pool area and other areas. I called immediately, was told someone would be out later that day. Never came. Upon further inspection there were blinds missing in bathroom (like someone could literally see you) and all around the house. Tv Remotes not working, could NOT change the channel in one of the bedrooms could not adjust volume to tv in living room, when we messaged about it they advised to turn volume manually. ? ok. Not THAT big of deal but could not change channel in bedroom. Ac didn’t work in one of the bedrooms. Sofa bed broke could not be used, and it was needed!! Overall just very poorly managed. I understand turn around in these things is quick but when you pay almost $6k for the week you expect a little more. Or at least some urgency to correct issues. We were told numerous times they would be out, we NEVER seen them. Will now make sure we do NOT go through a rental agency at least not Vacasa. If they are managing for an individual I feel bad for the individual, they are allowing the home to be destroyed. We posted review on VRBO but unlikely they will let it post. Just warning folks. Lesson learned.

We stayed at a Vacasa property in Gulf Shores, Mandevilla at Martinique, in May. The house was plenty comfortable and we had a good time.

We did have some issues. The fridge didn't cool or make ice. We had to keep all our perishables in the wine cooler and make a trip to buy ice everyday. The golf cart would lose power and die, even with a full charge.

This was a huge problem because the house is pretty far from the beach and security was super strict about cars parking near the beach. We contacted Vacasa and told them of the problems and was told they would reach out to the local office. We never heard back after a few days and reached out to Vacasa again and were told the same thing. Never heard from anyone during our entire stay or after.

I left an honest review on their website and it still hasn't posted 30 days later. I asked Vacasa about a week after we left why my review hasn't posted and was told it takes 3-20 days. Now they are saying they are behind on reviews yet every other one of their Gulf Shores properties has a review posted that was written after my review. Vacasa is filtering reviews they don't like.

Renter beware. Will never use this company again

My first rental from meyer. I was nervous due to other reviews. Rented Boardwalk 686. It was cleaned to my satisfaction! Bed was comfy enough ( all had foam toppers). Kitchen was very nice and well equipped. Even had an air fryer! Plenty of seating. Nice washer/dryer ( doors open close) fridge was kinda small. To be picky, it could use some touch ip
Paint here and there, especially the front door ( dont let that scare you). Each room was cute but not consistent as different floors in each room and cabinets. Overall was great. Will rent again! Parking was fine but not many people here since school started.

? WARNING ?

I want to share my experience with Vasca rentals to prevent anyone else from making the same mistake my friends and I did. We rented a house with a private pool for a girls trip, but it turned out to be a horrible experience. The customer service line was absolutely zero help! Despite our repeated calls and texts about multiple issues, NO ONE EVER CAME to fix anything!

The pool pump didn't work, so the water wasn't circulating and there was sand and grass all in the pool (which made all of us sick later). The fridge wasn't getting cold, and it took over 15 hours to slightly cool down. And on day 2, at 3AM, half of the lights went out when one of us plugged in her phone - obviously a wire shortage and a fire hazard.

Despite multiple calls to customer service, they just kept giving us the runaround. And now, days after our stay, we still haven't received any answers or timeframe for resolution. All of us have gotten sick, and it was determined by a doctor that it's probably from the malfunctioning pool.

So please, do not rent from Vasca rentals unless you want to have a terrible experience and possibly get sick. Stay safe, everyone!

Quick and easy check in process. Was a bit confused as to why I couldn't have just received the code by email. It definitely would have made things a LOT easier. Cute condo though and at a decent price. Especially considering we are literally on the beach with a gorgeous Gulf view and an awesome view of sunsets from our private balcony.

Overall, I give them a 4 out of 5 because there was sand on the floor in the bedroom and the tub was dirty as heck. Also because there was absolutely no reason for me to have to stop by the office at like 9pm, with hungry, tired kids, just to get a bunch of pamphlets and a code. All of this could have been handled prior, via email. I didnt even have to sign anything. We found this part of the process rather ridiculous.

I recently had a puzzling, frustrating, and entirely unprofessional experience renting the Labacoco East and West duplex offered by Meyer realty.

The trouble began with a property bait and switch, we had reserved a home in Gulf Shores, but prior to our stay were switched to the Labacoco duplex in Fort Morgan due to damage from Hurricane Sally. The original home was not ready for rental, which is understandable given the scale of destruction Sally brought to the area.

Unfortunately Labacoco was also not ready for rental, but that did not stop Meyer from offering the property. The home was far from water tight, there were leaks everywhere including directly above the master bed in the East side of the duplex. This became apparent at 3am when a large quantity of water broke through the wet sheetrock and directly onto my friend's sleeping face. There were also leaks on both units' main floors, in the West unit pots and pans were required to catch what was coming in during the rain.

And of course with water comes mold, the property had a musty smell and mold was evident on wet areas of drywall as well as in many air conditioning vents. There were a few other minor safety issues as well, including the fact that most smoke detectors in the East unit and many in the West unit had been removed. I suspect this was because of the water intrusion, centrally wired detectors have a tendency to all go off simultaneously when they get wet. There was also mold in the East unit refrigerator water system, and the East unit dish washer was completely inoperable.

I wish I could end this review as a sub-standard home offered by a company trying to do right by its customers. Unfortunately that was not the case, our dealings with Meyer were largely unprofessional and their response to the property condition was unacceptable.

Without notifying us Meyer sent a crew to replace the appliances in the East unit kitchen. They showed up, insisted we had been informed they were coming, then told us they would need around 3 and a half hours to do their work. We asked them to put on masks because we had children in the home too young to be vaccinated. In response they called their supervisor, who told them they did not have to honor our request to wear masks. We even PROVIDED MASKS FOR THEM TO WEAR and still they refused. We asked them to leave and thought that was the end of the issue.

We were mistaken. We received a rude text from someone at Meyer informing us we could not refuse the crew entry. We had to call the office to explain why we sent their crew home and were fortunate enough to reach someone sympathetic to our caution over Covid in a state with critically overburdened hospitals.

As recompense for our troubles Meyer offered us 1/2 of 1 night's rent. While better than nothing, that did not come CLOSE to compensating us for the condition of the property and the deeply unprofessional service that we received. We will NEVER rent from Meyer again, and I caution you to do the same. Do yourself a favor and rent through a platform like AirBnB or VRBO, at least they provide recourse should a home be unfit for habitation as the Labacoco duplex was.

We have stayed at Summer House West in Gulf Shores the past 3 years booking online with Meyer. The condo has always been ready for us and we haven't experienced any problems with them. One of the features we like the best is the express check in at the property so we don't have to worry about keys.

We just got back from The Water's Edge at The Beach Club in Gulf Shores/Ft. Morgan. The resort itself is lovely, and this house was also very nice, but it was very dirty and many pieces of furniture are stained, sagging or very worn. We were notified that the house was clean and we could check in early if desired, and that a Meyer's representative may or may not come by to do an onsite inspection. Guessing that didn't happen because there was sand on the bathroom floors; the private pool was not clean; there were balls of lint and dirt in plain sight next to the washer/dryer; cobwebs and dead bugs in corners; layers of dust on the bottom level of the coffee table, tops of surfaces like towel bars and toilet paper holders; visible gunk in the corners in front of the showers. We brought our own Lysol and wipes thank goodness. The furniture in the living room really needs to be professionally cleaned - most of the chairs are badly stained. The sleeper sofa is sagging so badly that even sitting on it is uncomfortable. The kitchen table has pock-marks all over it where the wood stain has come off. There are two grills that are rusted and so greasy they look like they have never been cleaned. Pots and pans had been put back in the cabinets and were NOT cleaned and still felt greasy.

I called the Meyer's office and asked them to please have someone come and clean the pool - they never came. This house is in a very upscale resort with many amenities, and was certainly NOT cheap. Meyer Vacation Rentals sent an email out about 'possible delays' in check-in because they wanted to ensure the cleanliness due to COVID-19 - what a joke! We've rented many times from various agencies in AL and FL throughout the years. I will never rent from Meyer Vacation Rentals again.
