Jesse Clark was highly recommended by a colleague of mine who works in the real estate industry. I invited Jesse over for an interview for our commercial listing and we never looked back. His customer service and responsiveness was outstanding through the whole listing period. He is focused, on task, and gets the job done. He brought us 3 offers in a very competitive market and within our tight time frame. He offered great wisdom and experienced advice during the negotiation process which was highly valued. Jesse Clark and John Powers listed my motel for sale and did a great job marketing the property and fielding inquiries. I had multiple offers all in the same approximate price range so I was assured I received fair market value when I accepted one of those offers for all cash with a 30 day closing. Jesse did great follow up and I would recommend both him and John to anyone wishing to sell their commercial property.

This company was inherited by Dave Black, a well know trust fund baby here in Spokane. He uses his properties to put up his own candidates signs in political races on the property he leases to others, making people think they support the worst of our options. I had the extreme displeasure of meeting with Dave in his office to sign some leases and his office is littered with photos of himself and the disgraced and disgusting Rudi Giuliani all over the place. The "ICK:" factor by this company is everywhere!

I have personally had the worst experience with this company. I have looked at a few of their properties. I first worked with one gentleman who was supposed to send me a floor plan after looking at the space and get back to me about some minor repairs that were needed and never heard back.

Then I went and looked at this absolutely perfect space, was interested, told him I wanted to continue on getting the space, and the guy just disappeared. After calling, texting, and emailing, I got a call, and he stated all of a sudden it was having a lease drawn up, and they should know more within 48 hours. Well, I get a message if I'm still interested. I tell him yes, and then once again, he ghosts. Again, I am left with no response.

When you call to talk with someone higher up, there is no one, and no one else can help you. It's a very frustrating process when you are about to spend $1k of dollars on a lease property for a business.

Bad corporation on Residential side. If you rent from these guys, take pictures of everything you've cleaned because otherwise wave goodbye to your security deposit ($600 deposit plus $200 for additional "general cleaning"). Local management told me they had been instructed NOT to do a walkthrough before so everything came as a surprise bill. I feel sorry for the employee who has to defend this company's policies to me over the phone. They were otherwise fine other than raising rent prices 30 percent with 30 days notice. I know these guys are just doing normal cashgrab business and it might be technically legal but it leaves a very unpleasant taste. Take your dollars for rental and investment elsewhere of you want to favor renters. To NAI Black: stop squeezing cash out of those who depart if you want to build any degree of favor in your local community. Too bad.

Edit: In response to your polite response, believe me the main office number is the one I called immediately after receiving my $800 general cleaning bill, prior to posting this unfortunate review.

Five years ago, they made sure that I didn't get my deposit back and I ended up having to pay them $350 (on top of the deposit) when I moved out due to one, small carpet stain. Aside from that, I had gone through the move-out checklist meticulously. There were a few broken vertical blind slats and I opted not to dust all of the mini-blinds. The rest of the apartment was clean with normal wear and tear.

Recently, I called to schedule a viewing of a rental that I was interested in not realizing that it was managed by NAI Black. When they answered the phone, I was disappointed, but decided to check it out anyway. It was a Wednesday and the receptionist said that they were understaffed for the next two days and couldn't show it over the weekend, so she scheduled an appointment for the following Monday. She told me to fill out an application online and pay the $40 application fee (site unseen) or somebody else would surely get it over the weekend. I was annoyed that they weren't willing to squeeze me into their schedule, however they would happily take my money and put a blemish on my credit for something I'm not guaranteed and may not end up wanting. Unwilling to throw money away without actually seeing the place, I took time off of work and went to my appointment on Monday. After waiting for 10 minutes and calling their office twice, somebody told me that the apartment had been taken. Nobody had bothered to call and save me the hassle. I told them thanks for reminding me to never rent from them again.

This company is terrible!!! I will NEVER rent from them or their affiliates again, I rented one of their apartments from the Westminster. Every time I needed a repair or help with something to do with my apartment I rarely received it unless I pushed about it, they lied about the repairs that were done in my apartment before I moved in and the fact it was clean....it was not. I tried to reach Black reality four different times NEVER received a call back. All they seemed to want was my money each month without ever actually caring about me or any other tenant. Now that I moved out Oct 31st, I still have not received my deposit refund, its been 3 months and all they keep doing is pushing me off. The excuses so far have been "Oh sorry it was in my top drawer for 3 weeks", "Oh we didn't have your correct forwarding address",( I even have voicemails proving this) and every time I call them they make a new excuse. I was more than ready to give them my deposit before I moved in but now that I've moved out I can't seem to get my money back. Extremely frustrated. I will be meeting with my lawyer over this if the correct action is not taken by Black reality, no one should have to wait this long to receive their deposit back.
