I hired Naomi Selick to help me rent out my property. I have never rented anything before and given that this was my first experience she really didn’t do much to help me understand the contract. Oliver reviews talk about her as being exceptional and hard-working and making sure that everything is correct. Sadly that is not the experience that I had with her. She wanted me to take less than stellar people versus waiting for someone who had a better credit rating. For someone with her years of experience, I was very disappointed with her. When I wrote to her about having issues with the people who rented my house, her response to me was this is what the courts are for. I have copied her text to me here: “all any agent can do is write the landlord's desired terms into the lease and negotiate to have the tenant accept them, which I did. No agent has the power to force a tenant to actually comply with the terms of the lease that they have signed. That is what the legal system is for.”

As first time buyers, my partner and I had a fair amount of anxiety about the home-buying process because, anecdotally, buying a home can be a stressful rollercoaster ride of highs and lows. Thanks to Naomi, the entire experience from start to finish was seamless and quite easy! I do not doubt that there is a tremendous amount of work that goes on behind the scenes, but we never even got a hint of that because Naomi has the perfect combination of expertise, experience, trustworthiness, and intuition, in addition to being highly competent and organized. When we finally found a home we wanted to make an offer for, Naomi was on it! Her instincts and experience secured our offer with the seller (who had 2 offers) and after that it was smooth sailing. We are really very fortunate to have been in such good hands. It's hard to choose a good and effective broker, and every reader of this review probably has multiple acquaintances who are in the profession, but I would highly recommend Naomi to anybody who is looking -- you won't be disappointed!

She was very responsive whenever I had questions and her follow-through was excellent. Naomi is very knowledgeable about the neighborhood and uses that knowledge to educate potential buyers who may not be as familiar.
