I have been working with Joni (The Boss and realtor) for about 3 years now in various aspects. Joni has always worked towards my best interest. She is experienced, clever, and she knows the right people.

Originally, I was working with one of her competitors in Upshur County and couldn't even get a showing on my house. I switched over to Joni due to a reference and immediately had multiple showings. Unfortunately the market at the time was not great to get my type of property sold. I did not know what to do, and Joni suggested renting.
Within a very short time period she found solid renters who paid what wanted.

Eventually, when the market was ready, Joni called me up and said its time to sell. I had multiple showings and she managed to get me excellent offers when no one else could.

Whenever I had an issue with anything, she usually knew about it before I did and already had something in the works to get it resolved.

Your realtor matters whether you are renting, selling, or buying. You definitely want the realtor who knows the area, the market, and will look out for your interests.

Most people do not realize that when an agent gives you an inflated listing price to get your listing, they are doing you a disservice by causing your property to "sit" too long on the market. You need a truthful knowledgeable agent to work with that doesn't waste your time.

My husband and I are trying to be first time homebuyers we found a home that would be perfect for us and our little family Nelson and Howard real estate is who the houses through. So I gave them a call today trying to find out a little bit more information about it hoping that they could give me some sense of direction, as to how to go about doing things as a first time home buyer. Unfortunately all I got was “call around to different banks and see if you can even get approved for a loan first”. In my personal opinion it is not very professional to be rude and for people who are first time homebuyers you should be, or at least I would think that you would try to be helpful and send them in the right direction with who to call and how to go about doing things. Not just tell somebody well call around to different banks and see if you can even get approved for a loan first. To me that is very rude and disrespectful this place will not be receiving my business nor will they be receiving business through my family or friends because I am going to let them all know about my experience!

I've been a landlord over 10 years. I bought property in upshur and couldn't manage it for I live over 2 hours away. I tried property management through another real estate in Buckhannon but would receive the rent check 2-3 weeks late among other issues. I dropped them and asked Joni to manage the property for me. If you are looking to rent or need someone to manage your property, she is the one to go to. If you always have problems paying your rent on time or have no respect and steal or destroy the property you are renting... don't rent from Joni. If I buy any rental property in Upshur in the future, I would ask Joni to manage it. If she couldn't do it, I wouldn't trust anyone else to.
