I wouldn’t recommend this company due to the lack of proper communication, compassion towards issues and professionalism. I had a big problem arise in the second property I rented from them... in which there is an upstairs neighbor with severe mental issues that behaved in a way that made me feel both unsafe and shaken. For the price I was paying to live there, not worth what I went through and they were actually surprised I decided to leave. Also, there were issues with plumbing and water quality for which I had to keep hounding them to get fixed. Internet went out for about 4-5 days, remote for fire place didn’t work and the code for the front door didn’t work and I got locked out for a few hours. The welcome packet has information that is outdated. They just need to get on the ball, get more organized, inspect the properties WELL before renting and make sure the neighbors aren’t crazy. This was a VERY frustrating experience for me. I recommend you ask detailed questions and see property before renting. Thank You and Best Wishes!

North Coast Furnished Rentals managed our 2 bdrm condo in Trinidad. They were able to get excellent tenants that were contractors for a local utility. it was just one person, and once or twice his wife and children came as well. They were easy on the rental & furniture, nice to the neighbors, and always paid on time. Would definitely use NCFR again 🙂

My family and I stayed in the wonderful two bedroom white house they manage in downtown Arcata, a block from the food coop. I loved the kitchen, dining room, and bedrooms, and the laundry in the basement was such a plus. It was a very convenient house to be in. The bathroom, and bedrooms were designed for comfort. In fact, when we moved into our new apartment back in the bay, I went and purchased the same plush towels and wash cloths sets, silverware, and dishes they had in that house.

Our agent, Javier, went out of his way to assist us during the move in process, and was quickly responsive to the ant problem that later became present in the kitchen and dining room. I have learned that the ants problem is common in that region. But he did respond very promptly to address that problem and also more than made up for a couple of communication mishaps that we experienced. My family and I enjoyed our month of respite there. It went by way too fast. It was definitely a good value for a month's rent we paid. Further, I was given my deposit back within two days of departure as a courtesy.

Pros: Javier's great service, convenience of the location, and everything I stated above.

Cons: City of Arcata does not give parking permits for that block, not even for short or long term residents. They will ticket you as soon after two hours. If street parking is needed, you will have to park a block or two away. One car can fit in the driveway however.

Recommendations to Guests:
When communicating and trying to reach the office, don't confuse it with North Coast Real Estate in downtown Arcata. Their local office is only in Eureka. Enjoy this house.

Recommendations to North Coast Furnished Rentals:
- Install a mailbox

- Install a spotlight above the garage door/driveway. I pulled in too close to one driveways concrete walls late one night. The following morning, as I pulled out, the front right side of our SUV was instantly scraped and dented.

They are a great company to rent from. They treat me fairly and always have my back. Javier is the man! Takes great care and makes sure I have a place to stay in Humboldt that I like. I will always recommend them if someone I know is looking for a place to rent. Thank you very much NCFR!!

I relocated to Humboldt county and with the housing shortage, I utilized Northcoast furnished rentals so I could have a comfortable place to stay while I continued my housing search. Any issue we had was handled promptly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a short term rental.

I have rented out properties through North Coast Furnished Rentals and have found them to be professional and did a good job of findng good tenants and notifying us of any repairs or maitenance that needed attention. I will continue to use them.

These guys are the worst communicators I've ever dealt with. They left the homeowner and the renters all in difficult situations repeatedly and never took any responsibility for their mess. Nobody involved knew if they had renters or a place to stay. I'd recommend finding other options. It is not worth dealing with these guys!!

Lousy excuse for a business. These guys (I think it might actually only be one guy, in fact) are incapable of doing anything. They don't return calls, they don't follow-up on leads. They make zero effort for anything. Property managers, stay far away. And if you're a renter interested in one of their listings, just give up now and save yourself the hassle.
