Towards the end of our lease, the owner was going to be transitioning from Riner Rentals to Old Dominion. Old Dominion told me they’d be showing the place and gave me a date and a time. I asked if they could wait a week since I’d be out soon and they said no. I agreed to show my place and then they cancelled since the person didn’t respond. 5 minutes before the appointment they text me and say “it’s back on”. I asked them politely to reschedule since I didn’t feel comfortable. Instead of listening, they knocked on my door, I was busy and barged into MY SPACE! I asked the lady to give me five minutes since I wasn’t mentally okay to receive them and they were intruding and she was offended. I also have a dog and once the person who was trying to see the townhouse saw, he asked (very politely) is the dog okay? (Since she was barking); I didn’t have time to answer before the Old Domion lady said “yeah, she’s fine!”. Lady, you don’t know my dog, don’t speak in her regards. The gentleman also asked if it was okay to wear his shoes in the carpet, again, couldn’t answer before the OD lady said “yes! :)”. I was moving out EARLY! And asked them for a week so I’d be gone and couldn’t have that courtesy. The house was then empty for two months because the people weren’t moving in immediately. Y’all really couldn’t wait a week and respect my space?

I did ask OD and RR to come do a final inspection together since there was a transition and the lady that came that time was significantly nicer! (Cowgirl lady)

7 months later, finally received my security deposit back. I reached out 40+ (no exaggeration), if I got a response it was "I'll look into it," or even better "we can't help delays in the USPS." I was okay with that excuse at 1 month, but upon request it be resent, I received that excuse 3 more times at 5,6 and 7 months. We had neighbors who rented through Old Dominion who had similar issues getting their deposit back. We then received a penalty on that deposit for only returning the handle key, not the deadbolt, which ironically were the same key. Our security deposit was just the final problem of many, we are happy to never have to work with Old Dominion again. Don't take my review or others lightly. I would recommend you look elsewhere for a property manager or rental property.

I am shocked! I cannot believe the people in this office. Extremely rude, JUST HUNG UP ON ME- my husband had an appointment to view a potential rental, and they didn’t bother to show up or even notify us that they canceled the appointment! They also misrepresented the property, saying they don’t allow cats- I wouldn’t have set up a tour if the advertisement said that- it says pet friendly, both cats and dogs allowed. Then I get a hateful email stating that ODRPM hasn’t rented to people with cats in 8 years! I asked a genuine question, because it seems that no one wants to rent to people with cats in Rockingham County, VA. I will admit, I was very suspicious of the email response I got from ODRPM because the address listed in the email for the office in Santa Barbara, California. I want a local office! I wouldn’t rent from ODRPM until they train their staff- if that’s how they act with potentials, imagine being stuck in a lease with that mess… no thank you.

Amber worked hard to get us approved and made the process very easy for us! HIGHLY recommend to rent from ODPM! This is the second unit I have rented from them and I am very pleased with their service.
