I was trying to apply for a rental available through this company recently and I had let them know I had a service animal and they immediately started telling me that that wouldn't work (which is by law not correct to turn someone down for a legitimate service animal per washington law). A couple days later I had gotten a response back via craigslist, I'm assuming by a different colleague through the company, letting me know they did allow service animals, then they immediately sent another email saying my husband and I insufficient income, which let me break it down, we make about 5000 together a month, the rental was listed at 850, they required 2.5 - 3 times the rent, which comes out to between 2125 or 2550. So we make double the rental income qualifications. I then called the management company again and asked how that was exactly possible, and even then the lady I spoke with was confused on why I was told that, but did say it was probably because my veteran husband and I have a service animal. Do not waste your time with them. They will take you as a joke. I am reporting to the BBB as well.

Marie is the biggest scam artist. She will come up with "reciepts" for all of the damage and cleaning she "spent hours and hours doing" just to keep your money. She is not professional and very judgemental. I do NOT recommend working with her or this company. And based of the reviews, it sounds like I'm not the only one who has had this experience. This company is a joke and a half. Good luck to the renters in Chewelah.

What a joke! Where to begin? Told my wife (then fiance), they would have trouble renting to her, being a single mom, she probably couldn't take care of the yard of the rental. Discriminate much? Wanted to VISIT us at our current homes to view the level of 'cleanliness' because they 'don't rent to bad housekeepers'. Wanted to know how often we dusted and vacuumed? How often did we do laundry? None of your business!! As we BOTH sat down to sign the rental agreement and obtain keys, they RAISED the rent by $75 a month! Had we not been in a bind and already given notice at our previous locations, I would have told them to kick rocks. First house they showed us, BTW, had no heat, just suggested we use space heaters?! Company is a joke and take advantage of people in tough situations. No professionalism. Glad we bought a house so we never have to seal with this sexist, judgemental company again.

We rented a home from Marie for 18 months and did everything plus much more we were asked to do. I expected to not get my $1,500 deposit back because of the reviews and guess what? She made up receipts for lawn care and window services and then credited me $26 so that it would all equal out to my $1,500. If you do business with Park Street group and you get taken advantage of shame on you because after reading these reviews you should have been warned!

Worst company ever. Tried renting from them with a income of 95 thousand a year and a credit score of 700. They gave me the run around for 2 months saying they were looking into my application, working on house from previous tenants etc.. Therefore giving us hope the whole time only to drive by the house we wanted to rent and it's been rented out. They didn't even have enough class to call and say it didn't work out and why. This place is a complete JOKE! Do not give them any of your business if you can even call it that!!

Wow! The way that Marie from this Park Street Group treated my daughter and I was incredibly rude! We had seen a ad on Craigslist for a cabin for rent for our daughter and my daughter called to ask questions and she was VERY short and rude, she was trying VERY hard to discourage her from renting this place even though she knew nothing about our daughter. I than called her and asked for someone to show us the place. I meet with Marie up in her office before looking at the cabin and she was VERY short and rude and once again discouraging us not to rent this for our daughter.. After we looked at it my daughter wanted to go ahead a get going on any paper work. Our daughter left several messages and so did I for her to call us back. The 3rd day she get in contact with our daughter and she fills out the paper work and sent in back into her the same day. We once again heard nothing till the 4th day after we had left her numerous messages. Finely she called our daughter and said that her credit came back great! Than after our discussion as a family we were so discouraged with Marie and frustrated with her we just decided that we didn't want to deal with her in the future. So our daughter contacted her this morning and let her know that we have decided not to rent the cabin and her commit to our daughter was VERY RUDE! She told our daughter that "she cant believe how much of her time that we wasted" I would not recommend this place to anyone! We had been told about her rudeness from some of the locals here in town and I wish we would have listened!

My husband and I responded to an add on Craigslist and were taken to see two apartments. The first was extreamly extremely run down! The second however, was a bit better and we decided it would suit our needs for the next year. We went back to the office with Barb who was very nice to fill out the paperwork and run the credit check. This is where things fell apart once we were introduced to "Marie" she was so extreamly rude! Making me rewrite things my husband had written (my application had the exact same info for the most part) picking apart our rental history we rented from family in the recent past but have good employment and references. Then she says she lost her card reader and wants us to get her cash. To top it all off she walks down to our car to look at it inside and out! What?!?!? Who does that! I had a cat carrier in my car for my mothers cat ( I already told them I have no animals) when I again explained I have no animals I just took my moms cat to the vet she goes "just him then?" Pointing at my 2 year old son! We decided not to use this company after all... good luck to all who rent here!
