I’ve studied Bill Ackman and Pershing Square extensively. Everything I see them do is logical, smart and strategic. There is deep analysis of our markets and of interesting companies. More importantly, Mr. Ackman is pouring the energy of his life into multiplying outcomes. Outcomes he often has to fight for, but outcomes that make the world a better place in total. I for one am thankful for him, and commend him for the arrows he takes along the way.

Don't be fooled by the 1 negative rating about the fund - the Valeant loss was due to Mike Pearson's total incompetence. Mr. Ackman is a winner, and will continue to win now that he's back in the business. I learned a lot by listening to his speeches online and reading Christine Richard's book about him while studying in business school, and he has set an example that the entire industry should follow. It is unfortunate that a cohort tried to stymy the Herbalife short position, and it is clearly evident that Mr. Ackman is a virtuous and responsible leader and activist.

As with any fund focused on seizing market opportunities you’ll have some hiccups and tempted to run. Bill being pro-active vs reactive saw the COVID effects writing on the wall and it’s continuing opportunities accelerated by a post-covid world. The next 3 years will be the funds best years.
