This company denied me after not checking my credit. After not even doing a background check on me went on the word of a psycho slumlord without even talking to me. I have more than enough money to pay the rent. I have never been evicted and my credit is fair, after going to another company the same day I applied they ran my credit and my background and sent me a copy of said background report. There is nothing on my background so these people don’t do their homework and they don’t care to. I wouldn’t advise anyone to try to rent from them unless you’re a migrant or an immigrant because that seems to be all they want to put in their buildings in Madison Wisconsin , it’s truly sad that a person that works for a living and has no bad background and no evictions can’t even get an apartment because these people couldn’t tell the truth if it jumped up and slapped them in the face

Don’t rent a property that is managed by this company. We rent at Norhardt Crossing in Brookfield, WI. Prior to move in we were assured the apartment would be movexin ready when we arrived in six weeks. Two items in particular- bubbled cupboard doors in kitchen and caulking in the bathroom- that we were assured over and over again would be done prior to move in were not. Also, the furnace & dishwasher were not working. The dryer wasn’t working properly. One toilet leaked. The kitchen sink and tub didn’t hardly drain, and water was coming from behind the spout in the tub. A couple windows needed repair, and the patio door handle didn’t work properly. That’s just the main issues.

We were there for a month before we got a working dishwasher and a new knob for the dryer so it worked properly. Some of the repairs are still not completed as of the writing of this review, and it’s been almost two months.

After talking with the onsite property manager as well as the regional manager, we were given multiple excuses for the issues and were told that they are sorry, but they did fix everything after we brought it to their attention. They are incapable of understanding that it’s not my job to help them get my apartment up to move-in ready standards. We asked for compensation, which they did not want to give because they thought saying I’m sorry should be sufficient. All we received after so much back and forth was $150 credit on our account.

Overall, I’m super disappointed that I chose this place. If they had done their job correctly, I would feel very different. If they had owned up to their poor performance and adequately compensated us, I would have a better review. However, it is my belief that they will treat all future residents as bad as they have treated us, and I want to spare you that experience. Keep looking because there are far nicer places for about the same price. Happy searching!

Never ever rent through this company. They sold their apartments to another company and four months after I moved in told me I owed $600 in fees I didn't pay from my move in out of nowhere the last month before they left. I wrote them emails to find out what the fees were for and she could pinpoint nothing, just kept telling me I owed it. They then left with taking it out of my security deposit. They will cheat you out of your money, stay far away!!!!! I would give no stars if I could!

Placing my 1 star review here too. I don't care how good yall's apartments look, I will not tolerate the disrespect and I'm not that desperate to put up with it just to get an apartment. Theres plenty of other places I can go to take my business elsewhere.

Here's the gist of what happened. End of November I submitted my application. Days later I was asked to submit my pay stubs and ID to Karen. A week goes by I don’t hear from them by phone nor email. The apt I want only had 1 unit available. I even sent a follow up email that last week still no response. It was a holiday weekend so I give it the benefit of the doubt… but Monday passes and then it is Tuesday still no response. I went ahead and called and asked if there was any update. I get a response from Karen in a rude tone “Yeah we’re working on it.” and she had an attitude on the phone. Very unprofessional. Then going to ask did I just apply by myself or did I add people on it when all that information is literally on my application. Mind you she is still having an attitude while asking me this. Yet, she’s the one who emailed me last week asking for my pay stubs and ID. As if I’m bothering her She tells me she’s going to transfer me to someone else for more information on my application.

I then get transferred to Kelly saying they have been busy with training and whatnot, and my application has to go through a screening, and this is a new property they are handling and will get back to me once that is done. Instead, I do not want to rent here to ANY of your apartments. Especially with management already having an attitude and not getting back to me when I emailed her politely if there were any updates. I get y’all are busy, but y’all don’t know how to talk to people and don’t know how to keep people updated at the bare minimum. It also takes so long for everyone to get back to you even with just INQUIRING information. All I asked for was the status of the application and get flooded with attitudes for no reason. The people on the phone have an attitude problem when you try to apply and they don’t sound warm or welcoming on the phone at all. They sound like they don’t even want to work there. Yall need to hire people that are actually suitable for this job, not just random people who apply with 0 interpersonal skills. Doesn’t make any sense to talk to me in any kind of manner like that when I’m nothing but polite and patient on the phone. Waste of $25. Next.

Getting maintenence to come out was like pulling teeth, no notice before entering the apartment while we were working on moving out. Removal of benefits laid out in lease by previous landlord prior to their acquisition of the apartment. I don't think I've ever had a less pleasant experience renting in my life.

Take over properties without notice. Horrible communication. Not to mention they will extort you for all the money they can get. They only care about money. They are neglectful. THEIR POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE ALL THE SAME AND ARE FAKE. What a joke. Worst rental company. Don’t get scammed or extorted by them like I did. To the people that had no choice in dealing with them (like me) I hope your outcome is better than mine. There are too many bad things about these people and this company as a whole. Truly shameful.

My experience with this company is a great one!! Many people have complaints and concerns, and just like everything that we experience in life- need to be met with patience and understanding. If rent increases are the issue along with other changes- then those affected individuals should consider how the economy is changing.

Would give zero stars if able. Took over apartments, raised rent, didn't offer any additional services or upgrades to justify the increase. Moving out was horrible, poor communication, terrible leadership, price gouging and profit driven with no sense of humanity in their business model. Strongly encourage to rent elsewhere.
