Great people work here. The place is well organized and fairly clean, despite being the dump. My only complaint is that the hours listed on Google were incorrect. I suggested an edit for the 9 AM opening instead of the 8 AM listed. Perhaps this is seasonal hours?

Update!!! it has been two months and still the hours were wrong on Google Maps. I attempted to edit them again today. I think the issue is that the transfer station changed ownership, and the old website is showing the incorrect hours. When I submitted the suggested edits, I also submitted a photo of the new Website showing the current hours.

The transfer station runs very smoothly. I like that could just throw it all on the concrete and they scoop it up later with a machine. Affordable too. I had over 1000 lbs of trash and it only cost me $126

Google has the hours wrong for the Port Angeles transfer station. They are open Mon-Sat. 9am-5pm. Check the actual city web page for the all the correct information.

Waste Collection no longer operates landfill for City!! Don’t trust hours from Waste Collection. City should have big warning banner on their website with notice of REAL hours and not to trust other sources. They should also provide additional signage along entrance road with hours and explanation!!!

I have never had an issue before this morning. As soon as I exited my vehicle to remove the garbage from my vehicle the male attendant began yelling at me. I was really close to just driving my vehicle back home and going out of the area to another Transfer station. He was the rudest employee over every encountered there. Then another worker told me to walk my items about 25 feet across the garage and not just unload or behind my vehicle I assume to save him some work/laziness. I think the employees that work work people need some major customer service training.

People making any rude comments so silly it's the dump for crying out loud. It's better than seeing it on are road sides. So take as it is and don't leave bad comments Be kind it's not a glamorous job so cut them some slack.

The dump needs a system of assessing goods brought in for re-use ability and recycle options. I hate going to this dump and seeing quality furniture, goods, glass and recyclables that people are too busy or lazy to donate or separate for recycle. People with the time and energy to do that should be allowed or paid to be present at the dump site to keep an eye on the drop offs, save useful items for sale or charity, and also save space in the landfill, which seems to be already very full.

Very nice people. They make you feel welcome and tell you exactly what you need to know. It was so easy to drop off my yard waste and see them recycle the material into compost.
