It’s easy to complain when things don’t go right. But it’s rare that we take the time to thank a company when they do the job right . Priority One, did an excellent job recently on repairing some spouting and flashing on our property. The work was timely, well done, and exactly as they promised. A good experience needs to be rewarded! Thanks Keith.

This is a horrible company to deal with. My husband and I were locked out of our apartment twice because of them and their electronic locks. The first time, when we renewed the lease, they never updated their system to reflect that we had renewed, so we automatically lost access to our apartment. The second time, we had to break the lease because we got jobs in a new city. We told them the last day would be 12/31, but they took away our access two weeks before that date. It took them over 24 hours to let us back into the apartment. They had no sense of urgency when it came to restoring our access. They never answer the phone and barely respond to emails. They will stop responding if they are at fault. We asked for a reduction in the final bill since we were locked out of the apartment, but they stopped responding to both my emails and my husband’s. We called and left messages, but they ignored us. I finally got ahold of someone at the office after calling repeatedly. She told me they were waiting for the broker to return from vacation to review the file. They could have easily responded to our emails and said this, but they didn’t. It took over two weeks to resolve this issue. They are terrible at communication and lazy. Do NOT lease from this company.

I had a TERRIBLE experience with Priority One post-move-out day. I received a call from their office explaining that there was [redacted] smeared on the wall and TRASH left on the floors of my apartment, even though I had already received my returned deposit and my apartment PASSED inspection. They also THREATENED to charge my account. The woman who left the voicemail also felt the need to leave a disrespectful comment, saying to return her call at "1-800 your mom's [redacted]"! UNBELIEVABLE. In all my life of speaking with DESK WORKERS, I have never experienced something this childish. For the sake of the reputation of Priority One and the treatment of future residents, please consider terminating the woman reaching tenants on these matters. I later returned the call, and they had the WRONG name and number on file, which still emphasizes the unprofessional nature of this company. I will NOT be recommending this place to friends, and I will be WARNING others. TERRIBLE way to end a contract with a responsible tenant. Very sad. Email me privately if you would like a copy of the voicemail I received. It is UNBELIEVABLE.

I'm relocating from New York City and have had an exceptional experience working with Priority One on securing my new apartment home. Shae specifically has been a consistent professional, incredibly responsive even while battling COVID. She was attentive, answered my numerous questions and inquiries, and overall has been a complete pleasure to work with. If this is the experience that I'm having at this point, then this is a true sign that this relocation is in fact the right move. PLEASE request Shae, you will not be disappointed, she's the absolute best!

I’m disappointed to say that my experience with priority one thus far has not been great. When they took over I was already on an existing with the previous property manager. I filled the necessary paperwork for priority one when they took over and on said paperwork included that I had a pet. When maintenance came to change the air filter I received an email from priority one saying that they weren’t aware that I had a pet and wanted to charge pet rent. As mentioned earlier when they took over I was already on an existing lease that did not charge pet rent and furthermore that lease was more than half way through by the time priority one took over. Now if I renewed with priority one or rented somewhere else in their jurisdiction the I can justify paying pet rent, but not on a previous existing lease that’s more than half up. Thankfully priority one realized their error and did not charge the pet rent for the remainder of that lease. I felt they did the right thing here, so I felt that I could continue to rent with them. Over the summer my bf and I moved into a newer apartment and started having issues about 3 weeks into the new unit. A pipe burst causing a flood in the master bathroom/bedroom. I am thankful that the issue was addressed quickly. The unfortunate part was in order to fix where the leak was coming from maintenance had to bust a hole in the drywall to fix the pipe where the leak was coming from. Again I’m grateful on the quick response to this emergency. However, what wasn’t quick was the aftermath of patching up the drywall. I spent a little over a month not being able to use my closet. Priority one never communicated the process that it would be to fix the drywall. Only when my bf confronted them about it was he told that the reason they didn’t patch up the hole is bc they wanted to make sure there wasn’t any signs of mold. If I had been told in advance that it would be a while before the hole would get patched I would have been fine. What I’m upset about is the lack of communication on priority one’s end. I wouldn’t feel so frustrated with this experience had priority one communicated more effectively! Another issue that came up the same day as the flood was the ac started to freeze up. My bf confronted priority one about this too. All he was told was that they own the properties, but not the building and that the leak and ac issues was essentially out of their hands. Again I understand that there’s only so much they can control. This is where good communication practice comes in. If priority one was more transparent and communicated more effectively I would have much better things to say about this experience. The biggest frustration that took the cake for me was when the maintenance guys came to finally address the hole in master closet wall they didn’t seem to know where the hole was. Thankfully I was home to show them where the hole was. Again this seems like failed communication from priority one, not effectively communicating what room needed assistance. Not only that, when someone came to paint after the drywall was fixed my bf and I were under the impression that they only area that needed painting was where the new drywall was put up. The person who came to do the painting stated that the whole closet was going to be repainted. Yet another example of lack of communication from priority one. I feel frustrated for the people who came out to patch up the drywall and paint bc they were also caught up in the crossfires of poor communication from priority one.

I’ve always loved the cornerstone area and had great experience living here the past 6 years under previous property management. I NEVER had an issue with the previous property manager. Now with priority one I’ve had multiple issues, and it hasn’t even been a full year yet that they’ve taken over the cornerstone area. So far my enjoyment of living in cornerstone is going to pot because priority one cannot or will not effectively communicate. I hope that priority one can see the error of their ways, and learn to do better.
