If you move in here, have a lawyer on retainer. What you read here is true. 30% rent hike in three years time. If you plan on using the space for work,(as they are zoned for, not for living only) plan to haul your trash, management will charge you added cost if they think your using the dumpsters for commercial disposal. Charging added cost for trash but not paying for more collections, just pocketing the money. Complaints about dust, noise you name it. And if the management company wants you out, your lease don't matter, they will send you outrageous threatening letters and threats till you move, I seen the letters and have seen countless people displaced. avoid like HPV mane.
After numerous home invasions on site, we DID at least get them to put up a gate but that took them a year and another rent hike. Property is crawling with homeless trash collectors and the occasional group of young kids, casing for grows. It turned into a bad deal quick and because it is live work zoned, the management uses any and all advantages that come with it not being zoned residential. This is a commercial space, you can't have kids there because of the potential exposure to lead. Read your lease and disclosures, it's in there. Good luck and if they give you the boot, just cross 47th street, where there has been a homeless camp for years.
Plus, there maintenance workers were caught dumping trash illegally on the street a few blocks away AND it was caught on video!

Proper Management is just another conglomerate of companies/people raising rent to ridiculous proportions thus chasing out their reliable tenants who have lived there for years. The Doyle Street lofts has been my home for almost 6 years; with only TWO MONTHS notice, they are raising the rent almost FIFTY PERCENT. I have two cats; they are "pet friendly"... now I have to give them up for adoption (after 6 and 9 years). Disgusting.Horrible. You name it.
This company has completely ripped my life apart. I'd love to organize a protest because I know that several of my neighbors here (who have been here for almost as long) are moving out now... no question why that is.

Proper Management are criminals and continually put there tenants at risk. I wish I could say it is negligence but it is malice that prevents them from doing there jobs. A class action suit may be coming soon to there door step, if anyone has anything to add as far as Proper Managements Criminal History, I am open to hearing it, and sharing my experience here.
