This has been the worst property management experience I have ever had.
One month after signing a lease, they removed my woodstove in the middle of winter and neglected to replace it. The woodstove was our primary source of heat as the bottom floor of the house is not insulated. The main furnace is unable to keep the entire bottom floor heated properly, and has doubled our utility bill. They also tried to tell us we could still have a fire, but the fireplace is built for a woodstove and will just recycle smoke into the house. Considering there are no windows to open in the living room and a person with asthma is living here, that is very concerning.
Additionally, month after signing my lease, they reinforced the porch railing and left all the wood untreated and unpainted for over 2 years until I made a stink about it. It looked terrible as far as curb-side appeal.
A city inspector came to do the rental inspection, where he noticed my water heater was 20 year old and needs to be replaced. Our water heater is only built to last no more than 10 years. They are refusing to replace that as well despite the city of Lakewood taking on average 30 days to approve a permit.
The drive way is incredibly bumpy from the amount of tree roots running through it. This causes the driveway to become flooded with puddles. They have ignored our requests to help fill in the puddles. This has made it to where a driveway that could fit 6 vehicles, largely unusable.
After two years of trying to get answers (and largely being ignored), they have decided to issue a 90-day vacate notice and sell the house instead of fixing major issues.
Aside from this, my laundry washer began failing to drain and started smelling of sewage. It took weeks to get a response from them, and they only responded after I sent them city codes and laws.
There is so much more I could say.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR TENANTS AND WILL IGNORE YOU.

The property I lived on had some building issues that were above her control, but she went out of her way to protect me as the tenant and ensure I had what I needed during a personally challenging time due to an injury. All of my maintenance concerns were addressed promptly, the rent was extremely fair, and the location was perfect for me. Please consider REIS when looking to rent or buy in the area!

I have rented from REIS for 6 years, they do not maintain the property and are very slow to respond
Craig their Maintenance man has no idea what he is doing. Both Fireplaces have never worked the whole time living there. When I Put in work orders I never get responses from them. Drainage system has never worked, they put in a new deck made from the old deck which I had to repair for my children's safely, it wasn't even nailed in properly. The bathroom downstairs doesn't have nor has it ever had hot water. The sewage would backup in the garage constantly, the garage door is very hazardous and doesn't open property which is a manual garage door. Plumbing is horrible and is constantly backing up, tub doesn't drain properly. They raise my rent $200 a month to maintain the yard 1 day a year. When they do make repairs they leave a mess with tools, gloves and garbage behind. I would never use this management company again they are a complete nightmare

If I could give zero stars, I would.
We have been trying to contact the company concerning the broken heater in our rental house. Keep in mind we are currently in the middle of November- to state the obvious, it is cold.
It is getting to the point where we are wearing coats in the house, and the house is getting colder by the day. It is absolutely unlivable.
We have not gotten an update nor a phone call back. Their lawful responsibility as a landlord or a service acting as a landlord is to make repairs as needed, and to provide fixtures and appliances necessary to supply heat, electricity and hot and cold water. It will almost be a week since our initial maintenance request. They are legally required to fix the issue of no heat within 24 hours of the request.
Avoid at all costs - do NOT rent with them.
Hoping you never have to interact with this company.

Edit: In response to the below, we were never made aware of the status of the issue being resolved, including the initial company “dropping the ball.” We called and left messages, to which no one called back. The space heaters and an update on the status was finally given the day I wrote the review. That would still leave us without heat for close to five days. Communication needs drastic improvement.
Anyway, thanks for finally fixing the issue and allowing us to have heat!

Easily… one of the BEST Experiences I’ve ever had at an Apartment Complex! Amazing properties, (lived in two separate ones already) Both were Fantastic and Friendly! Always felt Safe and Secure! Can’t recommend it all enough! 🙂
