Outstanding Property Management Experience!

I’ve had an excellent experience with Real Property Management Group. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve had the pleasure of working with Susan, she’s great! Their team is professional, responsive, and truly cares about their residents. Any maintenance requests are handled promptly, and communication is always clear and courteous. They go above and beyond to ensure the property is well-maintained and that residents feel valued. If you’re looking for a reliable and efficient property management company, I highly recommend them!

I had a frustrating and disappointing experience with RPM From the start, the property we viewed was in terrible condition—broken appliances, stained carpets, holes in the walls, personal items left behind, and a garage full of leftover belongings. It was shocking that the property was even listed for viewing in such a state. When we brought these issues to the property management team, they seemed just as surprised as we were, which raised the question—how did they not inspect the property before making it available?

Despite these concerns, we saw potential in the home and decided to move forward with the application. We submitted all required documentation on the first day, and our references responded promptly. However, weeks passed without any real updates. Every time we followed up, we were told they were “waiting on back office,” with no clear answers about our application status.

Additionally, a concerning part of their process was requiring us to link our bank accounts directly to the rental application because our pay stubs were not considered sufficient, even though they were verifiable and came directly from our employer system. This felt unnecessary and invasive, as pay stubs are a standard way to prove income.

After three weeks of delays and no response, we had to move on because our lease was ending, and we couldn’t afford to keep waiting. We requested a refund since no decision had been made, and we were assured that it was being processed. However, weeks later, we are still waiting, with the same excuse that they need approval from “back office.” On top of the application fees, I also had to pay an additional $200 due to their use of a third-party service to

verify my emotional support animal, adding to the financial burden.

To make matters worse, throughout this process, they repeatedly mentioned needing approval from the “owners” of the property, but we later found out that the company itself owns the property—raising serious concerns about transparency.

Overall, this experience was a waste of time and money. The lack of professionalism, unnecessary fees, and poor communication made it incredibly frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone looking for a smooth and reliable rental process.

Update-Adding to this. We were not persistent on seeing this property, it was listed on Zillow and we were able to view it by self touring, only then after making the leasing manager aware about the state of this property it was removed from Zillow to address issues related. We kept in contact with Alyssa who then allowed us to view the property again once updates were made. ( still no updates on our application 2 weeks at this point) The sloppy paint job, stained carpets weren’t removed and dirty exterior still remained. All I asked for was a partial refund and we are yet to be acknowledged. PS, we were willing to link our bank accounts however we made mention that our pay goes into several different accounts and your system would only accept one account to be linked which would automatically disqualify us even though we made way over the income threshold which you required.
