Unpleasant Experience; Do Not Recommend.

I have spent the last two years renting a house under the management of Realty Station. Notwithstanding the beautiful house, amazing owners, and delightful neighborhood, the management and certain personnel of Reality Station made for an extremely unpleasant experience. I would absolutely advise against a homeowner or perspective tenant to deal with Reality Station. To the homeowners in need of property managers: this company will do the absolute minimum in looking after your house. I own a rental house of my own and I would never entrust my house to Realty Station. To perspective tenants: look elsewhere! Please read on to let my experience speak for itself; I will let you decide if this is a company you care to deal with:
Marlene is the owner and was the main point of contact. She was incredibly unprofessional and at many times, incredibly rude. When it came time to renew the annual lease, I had to send it back four times for corrections. I asked for the lease to be accurate before I would sign. I told her I would not sign the lease if contained statements that were knowingly false. After the third and fourth time, Marlene raised her voice in a very unpleasant tone and directed her frustration to me. To her credit, she recognized how rude and unprofessional she acted and called later that evening to apologize.
Realty Station’s lack of responsiveness to maintenance request further underline the company’s unprofessionalism. Two were of serious health and safety concerns. There was a failing handrail on the exterior concrete steps that could allow falling down 16+ concrete stairs; we brought the issue to their attention a year ago and never saw it repaired. Additionally, the downstairs plumbing allowed the septic system to vent, leaving a nauseating sewage smell in the downstairs for weeks. We made multiple requests that were dismissed without further inquiry. For more than half of our residency (and still unresolved when we moved out), Realty Station failed to address a bathroom sink that wouldn’t drain. We taught the kids to wash their hands elsewhere.
The home we rented had beautiful landscaped front and back yards. I was told that $200 of my monthly rent was going towards professional maintenance of the grounds. I paid the extra $200/month, but the yard was given very minimal care. Typically, no one came to tend to the yard until I submitted multiple maintenance requests. The yard got so bad nearby neighbors called the owners directly to report the lack of maintenance.
Upon preparation for move-out, I made several inquiries to ensure we conducted everything in accordance with their expectations. By and large, my inquiries were unanswered and when I did receive a reply, I was told they would not clarify. My final correspondence from Marlene, in response to my request to maintain my access to the tenant portal until all transactions were complete, was “please allow us to do our jobs.” Ha! I think the irony is clear from the few instances above.
Finalizing the move-out process proved to be as unpleasant and unprofessional as our experiences outlined above. In compliance with the lease, I had the carpets, fireplaces and drapes professionally cleaned. The fireplace technician stated the fireplace hadn’t been serviced in many years, dating back well before our tenancy started. Clearly, they are holding tenants to a standard they don’t hold for themselves. Furthermore, we cleaned the remainder of the house to a condition that was better than we received it. When we received our security deposit disposition, we discovered we were charged for an entire house cleaning. It’s bad enough the charges did not align with the stated cleaning charges specifically stated in the lease, but we were also charged for cleaning the carpet and fireplace; if that’s not fraud, that is incredibly unethical.
Do not conduct business with Realty Station. Take your business to someone that will treat you with respect.

We will be moving soon after renting for 4 years. Eileen has been our contact with Realty Station Property Management the whole time. She has been wonderful. Very professional, exemplary work ethic, and dedicated to her renters, her company and the owners of the property. Any time we have asked a question or needed her assistance she has been there for us. It can be difficult representing the owners and the renters but Eileen ensures the contractural obligations are fairly followed by all involved and theres no problems . We are so fortunate to have had her as our point of contact. The office staff at Realty Station have always been professional and happily answered our questions if we had any. We wish Eileen and Realty Station continued success in the future!

We were tenants through this company for three years. They are up front and make what is expected known. We have said to them numerous times if we could have this company manage our home in another state we would. They treat it as a business, but do a great job taking care of their owners as well as their tenants. Repairs were always handled quickly and done with quality. I can't speak highly enough about this company. Thank you Marlene and staff for making renting easy for the 3 years we were there.

Had a great experience with Marlene buying a house for the first time! She did FaceTime tours for us while we were still living overseas and was always so helpful and knowledgeable! She has great connections that’s helped us find an awesome mortgage lender as well!!

Purchased the house I was renting through Realty. It's been two weeks and I've emailed them multiple times requesting the remainder of my deposit and prorated rent to be calculated accurately. They're currently charging me 4 days of rent AFTER we closed. I've sent multiple emails to 4 different staff members, still have yet to hear back from anyone. Their communication has been absolutely terrible.

I'm quite skeptical of the 5 star reviews, we always paid rent on time but were lied to verbally repeatedly, management never once took our side on things and instead became defensive.

I highly recommend anyone looking to do business with Realty that you get anything and everything in writing, as they will absolutely say one thing and do the opposite.

I'm looking forward to Marlene's response against this review. Let's see how a company tries to justify ignoring multiple emails for 10+ days.

The staff was very friendly. The owner Marlene is very easy to talk with. I was able to take my time with finding a house that met my needs. She walked me through the paperwork. Marlene also worked with my financial institution when issues occurred.
