Kurt Pepin was discovered through an inquiry with Redfin. My Ex and I were going through a divorce and selling out Kirkland home. He was told about the potential tensions involved with a divorce sale. He responded that he is a "Professional real estate agent" of past 25 years.
He had less than interested to communicate and be more informative and directing with the process that was ultimately costly to us.

The process was immediately taken over by his associates and other members of Redfin; that by itself, I feel is not very accommodating as Im expecting to be more in contact with the person with whom I signed.

He only held 1 day of Open House. After the Open House was over, he did not reach out to us to give us a report until I called him. He then sends a TEXT message telling me a summary of who came and how many etc. I have sold and bought many properties and have never been so dismissed and treated so casually about something so important. His lack of concern for out anticipation and lack of caring attitude was more than enough to turn me off.

The next day we have an offer over the asking price... He again sends a TEXT message about the offer... Not even a phone call, let alone coming in person to present the offer. Not knowing the offer ends by the next morning, we did not respond. As it turned out we lost potential $50,000.00 as the final offer was that much less.

He was misleading and careless with his evaluation of the offers and his presentations and lack of proper communication is unacceptable. But once your singed up with them, what is one to do, except to bear the process

There is an agent with a license who calls himself "professional" with experience that signs papers... And there is an actual fighter that cares and understands the magnitude of the situation and is more forthcoming and communicative.

He did not convey to us the expectations of the buyer about some installed garage cabinets. Once they were removed and buyer was complaining about it, he comes to fix the situation. When I question him about what is going to happen to this situation (since I was already out of the house, going through divorce), he keeps telling me "You'll get your money", as if it is his money that he is paying me. Its a shame that he forgets that he is HIRED by me/us.

Ask your friends and relatives and go with someone who is compassionate and hard working.

Kurt Pepin is NOT IT.

Redfin might be a good company, but agents like him make you want to avoid Redfin all together.
