Went out on a crab only trip with family and friends. The in shore rock fish is closed and the swells were predicted to be 7.9 feet so we could not go out off shore for rock fish. The crew was great and we pulled in 106 crab. We had to throw back some of the smaller crab.

We dropped the hoop pot and took a cruise around for 1 1/2 hours to let them soak. Then pulled the pots. We were back at the dock by 11:30 am.

At the dock two Ladies clean and cook your limit of crab for $25.

My friends and I went fishing yesterday with Captain Merlin on Reel Magic. He had us on fish all day long. He and his crew were awesome. The boat was perfect. There was a range from beginners to experienced fishermen and Captain Merlin made sure everyone caught fish. We all were in good hands out in the open ocean with Captain Merlin on the Reel Magic. We are definitely going to book another fishing charter with Reel Magic Sport Fishing. Overall just a fantastic experience thanks to Captain Merlin and his crew.

Captain Merlin on the Reel Magic Fishing charter is the reel deel. His catamaran boat got us out on the grounds quickly, safely, and smoothly. We were able to maximize our catch based on the conditions due to the captain's experience and knowledge of the area, when returning to the docks the other boats caught 3 fish -we had over 80! I highly recommend this charter if you're in the area.

Had a great experience with Captain Merlin and Deckhand Matt. They where very knowledgeable and friendly. Had 3 generations on the boat, my dad, myself, and my son and nephew. Pulled in 4 nice kings, and limited on the rock fish. Great day, and great boat. Will definitely use him again.

Couldn't have been a better experience for all of us guys! Captain Merlin and his crew were great, very knowledgeable and took us to hunt for Kings offshore on opening day with much success, we will return!

Another fantastic trip with Captain Merlin and deckhand Mike. Same as last time, VERY safe, and they made it fun to fish! Caught some amazing salmon too....see photo. Keep up the great work Captain Merlin!

Captain Merlin & Deckhand Wes took us out today for an incredible experience. We limited out on crab and fish! Captain Merlin made sure to explain COVID protocols and he kept us safe with the large ocean swells. He clearly knows the ocean and how to find fish! Most important, both of them made the trip fun for my son and I who have never done this before!

I’ve been on a few fishing charter boats and the Reel Magic with Captain Merlin is -hands down - the best I’ve ever experienced. I brought my kids with me both times I’ve been on the Reel Magic. The first time I was worried if they would be okay. Would the be scared of the ocean? Would they grow impatient if we didn’t catch fish fast enough? None of these were issues. Captain Merlin is the grandpa you always wanted and a natural with kids. We got on fish quickly and Merlin and his deck hand helped the kids jig, showed them how to reel up, and got the fish onto the boat. On the way back, my son got to “drive the boat” as we listened to Disney music. Adults and kids could not have asked for a better time. So good that I’ve been twice and tomorrow will be there for a third time. At this point it’s an annual tradition. Okay, stop wasting any more time and call him up to book a trip!

I had a great time, the swells were more than expected. But the captain and crew were great. Caught a lot of fish, kept a lot but overall had a wonderful experience. I would book another trip ASAP.
