It's important to be well informed before making a decision about their managed apartment building, The Avery at 450 Folsom. In my personal experience, the construction of the building lacks proper insulation and soundproofing. This means that you can hear many things happening between floors, including your neighbors' footsteps and the dropping of even small objects. Unfortunately, this is not an exaggeration and can be very disruptive for anyone who needs or wants to study, read, watch movies, sleep, or concentrate on anything. I feel bad for potentially impacting any business' revenue, but it's important to share my experience so others can avoid the frustration and stress that comes with living in this "luxury" apartment building. Despite the nice appearance of the building, the lack of soundproofing is a major issue that cannot be ignored. My time here at 450 Avery has easily been the worst housing experience that I have ever had. However, you don't have to take my word for it. You can just ask the leasing agent, and unless they are willing to lie to you, they will have to confirm everything in this review. Management here is almost completely feckless, so if you move in and have any issues, don't expect much help. The only positive aspect is the friendly and helpful concierge staff.

P.S. An employee of Avery himself stated that this building has the worst noise complaints he has ever experienced. Therefore, factually, I know that it is not just me.
