I recently purchased a property from re/max homes agent by the name of Shileah Heinstand, initially she was very responsive and seemed to be on our side as far as negotiating and overall outcome of the sale. We purchased a 5 acre parcel at least that is what was listed on the re/max website, come to find out after the deal was done I found out through the county and water reclamation bureau the parcel is actually only 4.5 acres. They falsely advertised and listed the property on their site and documents. This was my first home buying experience so it was a huge learning curve with buying the property, so I didn’t know where to go for information or what all I needed to check on to uncover all these hidden details. We moved forward with the purchase unaware of this info, I did a lot of the negotiating and back and forth on things that needed to be fixed before turning over the property with the owners of the lot because every time I would suggest something she would tell me the seller wouldn’t like what I had to say. Most of the things we were promised got done except one of the items. We were promised to have a carport reinstalled and that re/max or seller would pay for that. Sheileah assured my family and I she knew a contractor that could put it up in a timely manner or she would provide us with funds to do it ourselves. The contractor was not able to do the project shortly after move in so I offered to put it up myself as long as she could send me the funds for the material needed to put it back up to meet requirements of the city and bank. We waited weeks for those funds, when they finally arrived all she sent us was $100 to put forth for the material needed for the project. Needless to say that was not even close to the amount needed, I had to come out of pocket to put it back up correctly. She made us wait weeks just to send that when she could have easily informed us that she was only able to cover $100 of the project but she chose not to and we were under the impression we would receive a check for the full amount for material needed. Had we been advised ahead of time we could have at least began setting aside the funds and planned accordingly but we were unpleasantly surprised by this check. From the moment we signed for the house communication between the agent and myself was very poor. It was as if her only goal was to get to signing and then she was done with us. When I messaged her about the project funds she replied to me saying I was being too much and to please not contact her anymore. I would highly advise everyone to choose another agency to work with. I will personally never do business with re/max ever again!

Highly recommend this team. Susan and Kramer are the best in Kittitas. They are not pushy and listen to what you are looking for within your budget. They follow through the complete buying process. I have used them twice for personal purchases and referred 2 other families that bought homes and are going to be sending 2 other buyers to them.

I have not conducted any business with these folks, but that is on them rather than me. I tried going into this office 3 times in my history here in Ellensburg. Twice when I was searching for rental properties, and once when I was in the market for purchasing our home. I spoke with 3 different people (someone different every time) - they consistently did not even bother to return a phone call. I guess they did not want my money - that's okay - I found a good agent and bought our home through Windermere!
