The rental application processor, Bonnie, rejected my rental application because they felt it was disrespectful that a call between us ended prematurely (due to a drop in cell service.) To be clear, no disrespectful/unprofessional/vulgar language was ever used in phone or email interactions between myself and Bonnie. The only reason they gave for me being turned away was "hanging up" on them. To me, this treatment screams of nepotism and/or discrimination.

I also had issues regarding rental application policy transparency. If you don't have a credit line reported to Transunion, don't bother trying to apply for a rental with ReMax- although not explained on their website, ReMax will only accept credit reports from Acranet, which only pulls from Transunion credit lines. So, if your credit lines are reported somewhere else- Equifax, in my case- you will be required to apply with a cosigner, irrespective of your income and credit score.

The person running the main rental phone line- Lo (spelling?) was very kind, patient and communicative.

Probably fine for a first renter/college student. They do their business entirely between 9-5 on weekdays, so be ready for walk throughs, tours, calls, etc to occur during those hours. They returned the majority of my security deposit, taking some for a carpet cleaning (standard in their contract). Interactions were mixed. Communication was prompt.

This is the first one-star review I ever give a business in Pullman. Look at the other reviews, and avoid at all cost. This is a landlord who takes "lord" very literally. Anything that goes wrong, it is on you to figure it out. They provide no support. All you receive are short, crude emails telling you to "read the lease." I am not sure if they have actual people or chatbots automatically answering emails. Absolutely horrible.
I have been saving up to buy a house with a Re/max agent I knew and liked. But now after the experience with their rental team, I will take my business elsewhere. Though I feel bad not getting to work with him, the business has to get better.

DO NOT RENT FROM RE MAX. THEY ARW CROOKS. I wouldn’t have even given one star if I didn’t have to.never rent from re max. They are shady. For well over a year my plumbing has smelled like sewage. Not once have they done anything. Finally got the owner to help (she wasn’t much help). It’s been over 2 weeks. Still have electrical issues. 2 rooms tied into 1 15 amp breaker. Tammi when showing me my apartment you can tell had no interest in being there. Something else brought up to the owner and was promptly dismissed as having any truth. Tammi has also stated how tired she is with dealing with the tenants in my building. Well tammi maybe if you got off your chair and did your job you wouldn’t have so many issues. I know of a tenant that hasn’t had reliable running water in his kitchen and no stove for 2 years. Another that on move in had a hole in his bathroom floor and a leaking tub. When said rub leaked into the hole and caused damage it want relax that had to pay. Tammi made the tenant pay for the damages. Do not use their portal to pay your rent as well. It’ll disappear and no matter how many receipts you show to prove you paid. Even doing that they will still make you pay a second time. i had to remove my name for this post. I know of 2 other tenants that were told to remove their negative review or be evicted.

We bought our house with Remax in 2013 and had them manage our property for rent this past year. Working with them on both ends has been very easy going and reliable. Tami, Andrea and Melinda can be easily reached, and provide detailed information on requests from tenants or anything else over phone or email. I would work with them again in the future.

The Manager Tammi is one of the most unpleasant individuals I've ever seen. She's had it with the real estate business and doesn't want to deal with anyone. Needless to say, every request for repairs was met with threats of having me pay for it if it was a simple fix. She would tell me to use the website for making maintance requests. Then when I did, I would get emails 4 or 5 days later asking me if I was still having problems. Yes, that's why I filled the form out!! She will fight hard to avoid your repair requests and put the cost onto you. Also, keep an eye on what your lease says. They required that I commit to a 2nd year at about the 6 month mark on my first year. Since I could t, I was required to have my house ready multiple times per week for remax to tour my house with strangers while I was at work. This happened for months These are not good people and this is not a place you want to rent from. As the other reviewer said, RUN!!!

I am a first-time renter out on my own. As a college student with limited resources, RE/MAX has helped greatly in finding a nice place for an affordable price. I have lived comfortably, and they have communicated very well with me as the tenant and are very helpful in giving me a better understanding of leases, policies, and real estate procedures.

The apartments are nice and worth the price for the most part. HOWEVER, the property management staff is truly a hit or miss. I have had pleasant experiences with many but I have also been spoken down to on far too many occasions. I have also been told straight misinformation from staff repeatedly over many weeks while simultaneously being told I need to fix the issue promptly. I would only recommend renting here if you have no intentions of ever speaking with property management.
