My experience with rsc and jack had been nothing but good up until about a month ago and I had always intended on leaving a good review once I moved out. However, SUSAN (also goes by KATIE?) completely ruined the experience of this leasing agency. She should be demoted to a position where she cannot be rude and ignore customers if they value their customers or buildings in the slightest. This woman cannot even be bothered to return a text and clearly has 0 experience managing these properties as she immediately accused us of improperly paying our rent while she did not even know how we have been paying it for literal YEARS. We had water leaking into our apartment and mold everywhere but its not like she cares to even text us back! So sad the dive in customer support that this company has taken in the last few weeks, honestly it is embarrassing.

I have had the pleasure of leasing from RSC Associates on three occasions. They are professional and kind. They are clear communicators and do what they say. They are quick to fix issues with the properties and they have always respected my privacy.

I would not recommend renting from RSC at all to anybody, even my worst enemy. I rented an apartment for almost 3 years and for the last 11 months I lived there I had to deal with a leaking roof and a hole cut into my ceiling that would leak every time it rained unless there was a tarp placed on the roof. The tarp would frequently be moved due to wind/weather and I was told multiple times that nobody could go fix the tarp and to just “put a bucket down.” I dealt with numerous maintenance workers showing up unannounced and expecting to be let in without even the decency to introduce themselves. It wasn’t until I called the RSC office to speak to somebody that I learned the name of the regular maintenance worker that had been to my apartment MULTIPLE TIMES because he never once had introduced himself to me. I left work several times to deal with the leaking roof, made sure to clean up the water so as to not damage the floor, and make sure there was a bucket and towels down when leaving. I was told for months “they will fix the roof once the weather is better and then we can fix the hole in the ceiling.” Winter turned to spring. Spring turned to summer. And it wasn’t until I was working on moving out with Allison, the on site manager, that I was told it should be fixed in a couple weeks. Funny how they schedule it to finally be fixed as soon as I’m moving out. Almost an entire year I dealt with a leaking roof and the first and only time I called the RSC office I had the absolute displeasure of talking with Kim. Never have I ever felt more disrespected and belittled by someone when expressing my feelings on how frustrating this experience had been. All I was offered for ELEVEN MONTHS of inconvenience and stress about my ceiling leaking was 5 days rent credit for one month (about $180) and a $50 reimbursement for PGE when I had a dehumidifier in my apartment for 3 days. I repeatedly asked how RSC planned to make this right and was told they would ask again and try to work something out. RSC has been the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. Kim needs to either be fired or go through extensive training on how to treat others with kindness and compassion. If you move into the Cedar Springs apartments on Burnap and you are unit 1098, I’d ask to see proof the roof has been fixed completely and not just a tarp or band aid fix otherwise you’ll have a miserable winter.

If you want to get evicted when life becomes difficult move into their properties. .... property manager was informed that I was just put on disability and waiting for my first check but the rent and late fee would be paid within 2 weeks. (I always stayed in communication and paid all payments in full.) Property manager was so sweet and understanding and told me not to worry. Rent wasn't paid on the first and I immediate received an eviction notice when I was told I wouldn't need to worry. So I left. That was the second time I received a "3 day pay rent or quit" even after the property manager telling me I don't need to worry. Well, I don't feel like constantly paying lawyer fees when life throws you a curveball so I left and moved back in with my parents. If you don't care about money or respect then please, rent from them. ,,, Godspeed

They will give you a deteriorating apartment then have your car towed despite it being on the lease. Have it towed despite it being registered and not abandoned at all. Unwilling to work with tenants and only care about bleeding tenants dry for their money. 0/10 would recommend renting from these heartless people. Definitely the last time I ever rent from them. As soon as my lease is up, I’m gone. Save yourself and your wallet and go elsewhere

Their policies when you move out are complete rip off. They have no heart or integrity. Would not recommend renting from them. Especially Kim she is as cold as ice

Worst property management company in chico ca. Very unprofessional buisness practices. RSC will not return calls or emails in a reasonable amount of time, same as maintenance and repairs. The employees come off very rude and unpleasant to deal with. Most RSC rentals are decent quality but over priced when compared to the same quility units in the chico and surrounding area.

Only real huge problem is that onsite managers like Jennifer Skibo kept illegally entering my apt on Running Springs Circle and vandalizing and stealing my belongings and pet hamster. This occurred everytime I left my apt. All the police said was whoever did it had keys! Then Ms. Skibo claimed she foind my $650 script eyeglasses in her office which I hadn't been in. My drivers license also disappeared at the property on Running Springs Circle and is still missing!
