Just moved into a 2 bedroom apartment for $900 a month and the unit was not cleaned prior. There's dust and particles everywhere. Paint drops in the sink and all over the doors and surfaces. They're not going to be able to send the cleaning person over until the 12th. They wouldn't let us see the unit before the move in date. I had to threaten legal action to get the manager to tell me whether we would be able to get the keys on the start day of our lease. Very nice apartment other than cleanliness; landscaping is nice, good view, nice neighbors so far. Their management agents could use training.

I applied for an apartment listed on their website available 11/10/24. I received an email stating my background check was processed. I called and left Becky a message the day after. This was about 2 weeks ago and I still have not received a call, text or email.

Juat shout out to becki i had alot of parking issues and had informed her about it she was quick to respond even came out there to resolve it by person just wanna say thanks for helping getting it all taken csre of been living there 2 years and very quite and good atomsphere i appeacate u becki

I've been in my unit for a bit over a year, and I've been happy with what I get for what I pay. The couple issues I've had have been taken care of to my satisfaction. There was some confusion with dates when I first moved in between the office and maintenance causing a delay, but I was able to wait and got a credit towards my rent.

Bug. Lots and lots of bugs and nothing has/will get done to fix the problem. It’s absolutely disgusting that they just let this go unchecked.

Becky the leasing manager is the most unprofessional person I have ever talked to. She not only sent me a blank email and then a nasty text when I didn’t respond but she also ignores her own mistakes and blames the tenant for her negligence. It’s pitiful.

Renting from Rusch is like owning a home with none of the pros and all of the cons. You get to pay rent with unjustified increases, you are responsible for all of the upkeep and maintenance as their maintenance doesn’t do anything other than cut the lawn. And if you don’t take it into your own hands they won’t hesitate to charge you for it after you’ve moved out. They require you to get your carpets cleaned prior to moving out, but that isn’t mentioned until after you notify them you’re vacating(make sure you tell them the end of the month otherwise they will charge you for the whole month and then freak out at you when you are still using the until during the month you paid for) and don’t expect to get your security deposit back.

I can’t stress this enough. Do not rent from them. There is a reason they charge a little less than other management companies and you’ll end up paying for it in the long run

I don’t understand where all the negative reviews come from. I have lived here 5+ years. The first 3 years my rent didn’t change. But 2 years in a row it did go up significantly. However, that’s not really on Rusch! The city raised everyone’s property taxes a ridiculous amount, they have to recoup that somehow. Not to mention inflation and the amount of people that took advantage of not having to pay their rent due to covid when they really could.

As far as management and maintenance goes, any time I email or call and leave a message for Becki, it is returned within a day or two. I’ve had maybe 3 or 4 minor maintenance issues since I’ve been here and they’ve been resolved rather quickly without hassle. Even stuff outside my apartment like the laundry area is taking care of quickly. They are usually here super quick to plow when it snows as well. I think the only thing I wish that would improve is the frequency that the common areas are cleaned. That goes in spurts being done regularly and being neglected it seems. But it never gets bad.

I was given a 5-day notice to vacate the premises due to a lease violation via voicemail, but a lease violation notice was taped to my door with no regards to an eviction or vacating the premises. The same day, I called the landlord 5 times and left a voicemail asking for clarification if I needed to move out or not, never heard anything back. The following day I called 3 times and left another voicemail, along with writing a message through the contact us page on their website and still received no reply. It is now 6 days later, I had no choice but to move out during the 5 days because I couldn’t sit around and wait to maybe get an answer. Today, the landlord FINALLY called me back, 6 days after I was given a 5 day notice VIA VOICEMAIL. The lack of professionalism and communication is unreal. Additionally, while I lived there I had several issues with my garage being synced with a neighbors garage, so our garages would randomly open when the other one of us used our remotes. We both spoke to maintenance about it but it was never taken care of. The “on site” management consists of a grumpy old man that puts up passive aggressive notes in the halls about stupid stuff like setting your garbage outside the door for a few minutes before taking it to the dumpsters that are a HIKE away. They also suck at keeping the parking lots and walk ways salted and a lot of people slip during winter, and they pile snow up right next to the building so when it started to melt this past spring, lower apartments were completely flooded. The rent may be cheap but the overall living experience is not worth it because of management. You’re better off spending a little more for a landlord that’s going to return your calls.

Didn’t respond to our maintenance requests for months, sometimes not at all. They charged us for the maintenance they didn’t do, despite multiple requests by each of the 4 roommates. Apartment was very clearly not cleaned prior to us moving in, and again we got charged for that. Washers and dryers were over priced and didn’t work. Washers were extremely small and we had to put our clothes through the dryer at least twice. One load of laundry would end up costing at least $6 on site. Parking lot was a joke as well, especially in the winter. Staff, especially Becki, does not reply to calls or keep a clear line of communication. Unprofessional and quite disrespectful as well. Definitely would not recommend. Cheap price for a reason.
